Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Ninja!!!!
The game is good, not the greatest game in the world but I always ask myself would you buy it for £40 (the usual in-store price). Yes I think I would, It's good fun, you can customize your character to a high level including clothing, facial looks etc...

It's a fun game to play and once you get used to the idea that being a ninja is all about stealth and patience and not storming into battle it becomes alot more fun, I find myself trying to complete assinination missions by only killing the target and not soldiers along the way but I've got to admit it's hard to resist a little jump of a wall to silently kill some poor unsuspecting soldier.

It is an improvement on all previous versions of the game on aspects such ... Read More:

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - I feel like a ninja!!
I really do when I play this game, its excellent. Where do I start? Well firstly the graphics are lovely, very smooth and I love how it has been made with elements of a Japanese Manga cartoon, inparticular how blood from your victims sprays out in lines as though arteries have been severed...great! The settings are individual and different in every case and full of the charm and character you would expect from old Japanese villages..

The controls take a bit of getting used to and some are a little difficult to perform whilst in a combat situation however this does not take anything away from the overall game.

There are dozens of missions for you to complete, most of which are based around protecting the land in which ... Read More:

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Almost but not quite..
I bought Tenchu Z hoping for a stealth ninja assassination game which can also be played online. And that's exactly what I got. The game mechanics for this game are great because you can interact with practically anything (even cling to celings), Can't reach a ledge? just grapple hook it. The stealth system is based around the human senses which can often be humourous as times. The customization of yur ninja's appearance is very nice, ranging from tengu masks to hiding your ninjato in an instrument. The only things which I believe the game needs to be perfect is:

Better graphics,(they arn't awful but not good.)
More variety between maps, (all the maps are repeated at least twice)
A few more animations, (It sometimes gets ... Read More:

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Not bad, but not great either
Tenchu Z allows you to play as a ninja, completing various missions (kill the bad guy, recover bombs or documents etc) by use of stealth and various skills and items you acquire over time through buying them as you gain cash for each mission you play. The gameplay is fair and to play it through on medium difficulty took me 18 hours (although there is room to replay and improve on many of the missions).

However I would suggest you spend your cash elsewhere. Why? The missions are very similar and with very few maps available you will become bored with the same maps, missions and challenges within the third or fourth game session. Graphics are not great - although I have seen much worse, the Xbox 360 can do so much more. The game will not ... Read More:

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Good Ol' Tenchu
I first experienced this franchise with Deadly Assassins on the psone, and absolutely loved it. A good ten years on and it's back on the sublime Xbox 360 and to be honest not much has changed. The graphics are barely above previous titles on so-called "last-gen" consoles, the ai is stupidly stupid and the control system as wackier than ever (each button does up to three amazing things depending on what trigger you're holding) - but it still rocks! If you can look past these foibles (which I realise some of the younger gamers may have a problem doing so) there is still plenty to be enjoyed from this game. I will admit, I was expecting a lot more from the 360 outing. The character creation put to my mind that this may be slightly more rpg than before, ... Read More:
