 Rating:  - Fighting in a straight line;Bit of a belated review of a game I've owned since day 1 of its release. So lets get down to it? Medal of Honor is a notoriously linear game. Call of Duty is a notoriously linear game. Indeed 90% of FPS these days are still veritable "rail gun" games featuring: You. Objective. One approach. That gets a bit old, very quickly. Medal Of Honor tried to spruce it up with their Airborne, but once you're past the initial parachute drop it's as linear as they come. Call Of Duty4 meanwhile sticks with the tried and tested formula. However they introduce superior set piece sequences, almost movie style scripted combat and a pretty solid plot line (decent characterisation, interesting comrades in ... Rating:  - Too short.I don't usually play fps, my initial opinion was very high, unfortunately i finished the entire thing in about 4hrs, for £29 this was quite expensive, so i tried the arcade version i'd unlocked, and was disappointed that it seemed too much the same, tried multiplayer, but couldn't seem to get a game going, overall verdict very exciting game, but a serious fps player is really going to find this far too easy, playstation versions don't seem to put so many save points as the pc version, and i found if i got killed which was often i was only put back a couple of frames. Rating: - Best game in the world Call of duty 4 (i will call it cod4) is a brilliant game, your life isn't over until you have got this game its 100 percent my favourite game. Game play:i rate the game play good, the gameplay is very good but you might of got cod2 in the past (ive got it) and got used to the cod2 game play so the cod4 game play will be a bit diffrent Controls:i rate the controls fairly easy to learn, the controls are almost exactly the same as other cod games so they wont be hard to learn but some people might have problems learning them if they haven't had any other game slike cod4 in the past. in total i rank this game a brilliant game and you just must get it Rating: - THe Dog DangliesThis is gonna be short and sweet ! bought Crysis, bummed! Bought UT3 loved it but never really grabbed me the way previous renditions had ! COD4 absolutly rocks The single player is a great prequel to what will hit you with the online action I could barely put this down much to the annouance of my wife (sorry love ;0) the upgrade system blows you away always wanting more 'must complete next challenge' I kept telling myself I was a big fan of 2142 uptil the release of this and the new 1.6 patch add a new series of Maps and a whole new dimension. no messing about its the nutz best FPS i've played for a long time and the graphic have an great sense of realism. |
