 Rating:  - SKATE!I've had it for nearly a year now (i think about 9 months to be precise) and I still love it. I think to really appreciate this game you have to be a skateboarder, because this game was literraly custom designed by skaters, for skaters. Just like real life it requires practise and technique, it is still playable by anyone, but to really appreciate it and enjoy it you have to understand how skateboarding works. Unlike tony hawk games where you can just magically ride up a kerb at full speed or pull off a 900 triple heelflip barrel roll to switch manual from an ollie off a 6ft ledge, you must master the flickit controlls. there are no button combinations to do tricks, to have to imagine your right stick as the movement of a skateboard, moving ... With dozens of tricks and excellent gameplay, it makes it one of the greatest games i have ever played on. Also you can customise your charecter hundreds of different ways. Overall 10/10!!! Secondly, this game is no Tony Hawk's; Skate surpasses any TH game I have ever played. I loved the TH titles in the beginning but then I found myself thinking 'This isn't realism. I'm a skater and I want a game to imitate real life skating'. Skate answered my wishes and is the most fun I've had without actually skateboarding. The tricks look and feel amazing; the smooth control system makes you believe that you're really pulling off the moves.
