 Rating:  - Great sound but prone to failing after a few monthsI've owned 3 pairs of these in the past 2 years. I bought them on the back of great reviews - I wanted to protect my hearing by reducing background noise so I can reduce my iPod's volume. They're great for this. But as you'll note, I had 3 pairs in less than 2 years. The first pair, bought from Amazon Marketplace failed after about 9 months. What was the problem? I started to think I was going deaf in my right ear as high end sounds had disappeared. So I changed the ear phones round and then thought I was going deaf in my left ear. My second pair failed after about 6 months. My third pair has just failed after 4 months. I'm not a heavy user; I'm careful to loosely wrap them when storing them. Read More: Rating:  - Excellent - Considering . . .Firstly, the technology behind these earbud drives stretches back before World War 2. Until the wide availabilty of electrostatic in-ear drives, this is the only way to go. I've read some negative reviews about these, but let's not forget what we're dealing with here; an electro-magnetic coil, snugly fitted around a rare-Earth magnet. The coil itself is connected to a very thin Mylar cone drive. There's only so far one can go with this type of design/technology, so my review is based on this. Considering the limits of the design scope and materials involved, these are without doubt, the best micro-drives I've placed in my ears. I've tried many till now, and previous designs have sounded 'muddy' and 'lifeless'. ... Rating: - Great budget in-ear phonesI have this for over a year using on various DAP (currently with the Sony Walkman A818). The sound quality is amazing considering the price and an improvement over the Sony EX71SL, but not quite as clear as my Shure e2c (which costs £55). I travel on the tube frequently, and the passive noise cancelling works well in sealing most sound out. Three pairs of silicon buds comes with the earphones, each optimised for different canal size. The only complain I have is the cable is too long and too thin, otherwise they are great as everyday earphones. Rating: - Awesome!I bought these headphones just over a year ago now, i bought them because my original ipod earphones were to say the least, crap. I plugged theses baby's in and wow!! Theres truck loads of bass with these headphones yet the treble and middle are as clear as can be, for me the absolute only drawback with these was the fact that i've lost nearly all the ear buds, but i suspect thats just me as i do seem to catch them a lot when there hanging out of my T-shirt. A great buy and extremely well priced! |
