If you have a death wish, buy this item. The only function it has is to kill (if you follow its instructions) otherwise it has no other use. It constantly gives instructions to turn to wall, woodland or whenever it sees an imaginary road, it constantly tells you to do a U turn on a dual carriage way or "turn right, then right and then right" which really is U turn too.
It barely ever picked up a reasonable route to take me to a destination, it often drives in totally different direction. When it does successfully take you to your destination, if you then have a look in a map you'll realise that this was ridiculous route which wasn't the quickest or the shortest.
I tried using it on different setting - you can choose ... Read More:

I was given this as a gift, and so far it has failed to do what is supposed to do. It instructed me to turn left at a non existent roundabout on the A1M, followed immedeatly by "turn right" in a slightly irritated voice. Shortly afterwards it froze completely, and needed a reboot to get it going again.
It completely failed to work o a journey between edale and sheffield, the screen showing me driving through woodland, and at one stage through water. This was after waiting 15 minutes for it to aquire a satellite signal. I only use this for the comedy value now, I was going to use it for its picture viewing capabilities but the battery life is to poor for even this. Dont waste your money.

I bought this sat nav as a cheaper alternative to Tom tom. To begin with I was happy with it but after only a week it would frequently crash when trying to enter a post code, take a long time to pick up the GPS signal, and even though I had told it to take me on motorways it still tried to make me get off at every junction on the M25 and M23.
I also noticed that a couple of times i'd tell it to take me to one of my 'favourite locations', I would start driving and wait for it to pick up the signal, then follow its directions, only to have it bring back to where I started.
As a product I would say it was very poor but i'm not ruling out that I just had a defective item.

I got this initally a few wks ago and it stopped working after the 1st day. Just refused to switch on for some reason so had to return it & got a replacement.
I was sent the 2nd ed. one and so far, so good! Has taken me where I need to go w/out any problems. You can do a full 7 digit postcode search, do a points of interest search and input & save a list of 'favourite' destinations.
This is my 1st sat nav so can't compare it to anything else, but I like what I see so far. No major complaints.

Bought this a little while ago. Thought it was great at first but soon realised that there aren't any updates since 2007. The roads around my area have changed alot so I often find I am not even on a road according to the Sat Nav. It also takes 20 minutes for it to find the GPS signal, this is very annoying as you have to remember to turn it on long before you set off on your journey.
With the price of better units getting cheaper I would recommend buying something other than this as this isn't very good.
