 Rating:  - 6 StarsI am sorry but 5 stars is not enough. This quite simply is the best bit of kit you will ever buy. Do not dither i beseech you. I ummed and aahed for a day or so so you can count me as having done the dithering for you if you like. It looks like not of this earth when you power it up and from then on in it does not disappoint. It is quite simply incredible. The build quality and the sheer amount of stuff it can do is staggering. All this with an interface even a hamfisted dimwit like myself picked up without recourse to instructions. As with all ipods, sling the supplied phones...i am sure this is an in joke at Apple...for any worth a tenner or better and you are away. Sure all the techies will moan that 32gb ... Read More: Rating: - Brilliant as a PDA, let alone an MP3 playerI have been a PDA user for years - I love the ability to have my contacts/ calendar etc with me out and about, and synchronising to my PC. I therefore use the Touch as a PDA, not particularly as a video/ music player. A few comments: - on my version you can add calendar entries to the Touch (unlike one of the other reviewers). I bought my touch in the States, so I am not sure which version you particularly need, but just do some careful checking before you buy if you want to do this. - it synchronised easily/ first time with my Outlook on my PC. It does it via iTunes (which needs to be up to date version), but it was no trouble even for a non-technical person like me - I agree with other reviewers ... It has to be the best one yet. Don't listen to those who say "if you want an iPod get a classic or a Nano, if you want the touchscreen get the iPhone" - total rubbish. For me the 32Gb is enough, the screen size and quality is second to none. The sound quality is what you'd expect from Apple - excellent. As always the standard Apple earphones arnt top notch (though may I suggest the £50 Sennheiser CX 95 Style's). Other bonuses are the apps, the revolutionary design, its looks and status! That's certainly what it seemed when it first came on the market. At that point the small memory made it more an expensive Nano than a new kind of iPod. But the arrival of the 32Gb model changes all that. It now has a big enough capacity to be regarded as the ultimate iPod - with some fun extras. And that was the breakthrough realisation I had: it was worth buying one just as an iPod. It is true that the other functionality far exceeds most other handheld devices.
