 Rating:  - Klipsch ImageHi all, I represent Klipsch in the UK & Ireland and wanted to clarify that very few of the reviews posted here actually relate to the Klipsch Image earphone which has won a variety of best in class awards since their launch. I've been a customer and supplier of Amazon for several years now and have seen and tested what many would term the top 5 best-in-class of in-ear audio. I've never seen a better full range performance or total ease of use from any other and considering the Klipsch Image are about 20% of the bulk of standard dual driver units they represent a welcome achievement in audio engineering. Well after several hours on Amazon going through almost every set of headphones, I eventually settled on the Custom 1's as i'm a sucker for good hi-fi and any audio device that promises something that rises above the crowd perks my interest. I walk 5 miles a day (about 90 mins) to and from work so needed something comfortable and of above average audio quality. So far (1 week) i've been very dissapointed by the Custom 1's. I'm giving them every chance, trying another set of 'gels' each day (why are these 'gels' made out to be so special - just about all in-ear phones use similar rubber fittings now - i was expecting something truly revolutionary!) These Custom 1s eclipse them all for sound clarity and performance. Once I tried a few of the different inserts the bass was just phenomenal on an iPod Nano 3rd gen. I first tried them with the factory mounted ear-gels (smallest single ovals) and the sound was OK but not great. I then tried the small flanged ones. What a difference! I will definitely be trying the Custom 2s in a few years based on my experience with these. Let's just hope the price comes down for those too! One bugbear of other headphones is the cord.
