 Rating:  - Its okthe Acer Aspire 5315 has been a good product up untill now. I have owned this computer from new for just under a year. it is now not allowing me to download programmes from the internet or from cd/dvd. it is only allowing me to save certain things, and it is not the memory space cos there is still lots there. also it has just started not recognising dvds, even the ones which i have previously played through my laptop. if anyone has any ideas i would appreciate them Rating:  - Not Bad LaptopI bought this laptop because of it's low price and its boast of 80GB. Only to discover it's much lower so it got sent back but asked for a replacement. That came swiftly enough but it had the same GB. Then on the same day, after installing just one programme, I was forced to use the restore to factory settings utility as the laptop simply would not shut down - even closing the lid did not help it turn off so I had to wait for the battery to wear itself out. Thankfully once it was restored everything so far has been plain sailing, (thank God), and now I can say it's a great little machine. It's light and not bad looking. Read More: Rating:  - Excellent value for moneyHaving only read the earlier reviews after ordering my new laptop I was a little wary of it's quality! I've been using it pretty much non-stop now for 3 weeks and i've not experienced one single problem. Once you un-install most of the pre-loaded game trials and the like it's a smart investment. The screen resolution is amazing, so clear, particularly brilliant for presentations and lecture giving. The case is not 'cheap and plasticy' as some other reviewers claim. The casing is sturdy and attractive, sure it's not top of the line and the keyboard and touch-pad are highly responsive. For the price I am very impressed and recommend this laptop to all! Rating: - Very nice productThis laptop is great so far - no problems at all. It does everything my wife needed it for and because we ordered Office Student Edition we got money off both. I had no problems connecting it to my wifi router and straight onto internet. Took about 10 mins to get the setting sorted for my home network and now able to file and printer share within the network. Quite honestly it wasn't hard! As to performance - obviously Vista is a bit bloated but quite frankly its not a major issue and system runs ok. It's not blisteringly fast but after discount the laptop cost £240 - if you want to run games you'd need to spend over a grand to get decent performance so you get what you pay for. Rating: - brilliant laptopive had this laptop a few days now and i am very impressed, it runs very smoothly and i have had no trouble connecting to the internet. it is perfect for my needs as a student. this is the second laptop i have owned and by far the better of the two. my favorite feature has to be the voice recognition programme as it enables me to dictate notes which is a lot quicker then stopping to type every few minutes. perfect for coursework and surfing the net. |
