. Independence Day [Blu-ray] [1996]starring: Will Smith, Harry Connick Jr., James Rebhorn, Vivica A. Fox, Harvey Fierstein directed by: Roland Emmerich December 24, 2007 I already owned this film on DVD and loved it. I bought the Blue-ray edition to get even more out of such a great film. What Amazon don't tell u is that this edition is an edited version which in reality is 9 minutes shorter than my DVD version. My one star rating is purely based on another money spinning project....... no doubt in a year or so we'll get the Blue-ray Directors cut coming out. Unfortunately for me i couldn't return it as I never watched it as soon as it arrived. |
