. Ape Escape - Platinum (PS)from: Sony Computer Entertainment UK May 25, 2001 First of all, you MUST have a special Playstation analogue controller in order to play this game on the Playstation 1. The standard PS1 controller will not work. I have not tried it myself, but I presume that if you want to play it on the PS2, the normal controlpad will work fine. The main character is a boy named Spike. Spike's mission is to round up monkeys which have been given super-intelligence by an evil monkey named Spector. There are lots of levels which feature beautifully-created icy caves, volcanoes and waterfalls. The goal in each level is to catch a certain number of monkeys.
