Tomy Thomas & Friends Motor Road & Rail: Pull Back 'n' Go Train Set

I have a 20 month old little Thomas fan in my family, and he had this for Christmas. It was really well-received!
Amazon's pictures don't make very clear what you actually get in the box. There is sufficient track to make the layout shown on the box (an oval shape, which another smaller shape within it). Trains can be sent in different directions by changing the points which is quite fun. There is a station, and then there are three little pull back engines. When I bought this, I couldn't quite envisage how this would work, but quite simply, all you do is pull them backwards along the track, this seems to 'wind up' the mechanism inside and then the trains will run along the track for at least a circuit or two of the track.
