Game play wise, ESPN NHL 2K5 is simply the closest to real hockey you will find on any format. SEGA have got so many things right with this game it is astounding. The presentation of the game has always been good with the 2K franchise and the same applies here. There are also a wealth of different modes to play, which will satisfy most, if not every, hardcore hockey nut. The franchise mode is the most impressive, as it enables you to feel very in-control over your team, but doesn't lumber you with innane tasks such as setting ticket prices and so on.
