It was our first "real" train set, and I was worried about whether or not he would find it more frustrating than fun. Well, he hasn't put the train down in over 24 hours! The track snapped together easily, and it stays together perfectly (except for when he sat on the bridge--but even that went right back together!). The train cars lock together easily and do not fall apart. My son can easily operate all of the switches by himself.
