Matchbox - Mega-Rig Shark Ship

Although the age of the children that this toy is aimed at means that they are not likely to understand it's meaning, it is unequivocal that this toy promotes an image of sharks as 'the villain'. Shark populations have declined by 80% in the last 15 years alone. They are endangered animals. The film 'Jaws' had such a negative effect on peoples view of sharks- now Matchbox have repeated the offence by bringing them more undeserved bad press. I'm not saying don't buy it, i'm just saying please don't let this be the only 'education' about sharks for your children.
