. Canon CanoScan LiDE 90 - Flatbed scanner - 216 x 297 mm - 2400 dpi x 4800 dpi - Hi-Speed USBfrom: Canon I had a Visioneer 9000, but it was incompatible with Windows Vista, so I bought the Canon. Unfortunately I have found it to be very slow. Scanning documents at 150 dpi each page takes 50 seconds. The actual scan takes 7 seconds, the remainder was waiting for it to do whatever it gets up to before the scan starts. The Visioneer used to start scanning as soon as you pressed the button, or in other words it was a race to keep up with it when scanning multipage documents. The software that comes with it is confusing. I ditched most of it as pretty useless in the end (Page Manager and ArcSoft Photo Manager). True, it's not expensive, but then neither was the Visioneer.
