Bantock - Orchestral Music

A vital purchase for all music lovers, and not just from this country. Bantock's neglect in the concert hall (and, indeed, on disc) is decisively shown to be wholly unjustified. In addition to large works like the symphonies and choral pieces, there are many small, occasional works - overtures, ballads, etc - which could easily be programmed alongside Tchaikovsky, Strauss, or other late romantics.

I mention those famous names, because they are the people Bantock most closely resembles (imitates), though without the hysteria or egotism of either.
