HYUNDAI Media Recorder And Player HDR-350Qfrom: Hyundai I've been wanting a new media storage system as an extra backup for music + pictures for a while so the option of being able to record off tv/dvd/video as well on one piece of kit sold me on buying this. Bought it for £130 plus £80 for a top end Seagate 500GB (32GB) SATA drive - not a bad price all in all. Opening up the unit and inserting the hard drive looks a bit Heath Robinson but all the connections seem pretty well made and it worked fine. Formatting the drive couldn't be easier - plug it into scart on your TV and its all onscreen instructions - I left 250 gb for recording off TV/DVD, a 32 gb FAT32 partition (required if you want to load stuff direct from USB using the integral LINUX operating system) and the rest NTFS.
