This film demands on putting every person into sterioticial roles, even on the front cover it has pictures of the main charecters and labels them like Geek or Sex freak. This can be sometimes funny but mainly annoying because nobody is just one thing. This film is slightly surial and although having a frankly ludicrous basis it handles it with humour and charm. Not being an American teen movie its significantly less glossy and is much more gritty. After being set up on a date this girl desides to go to this virtual reality confrence where she desighnes her perfect man. but while she is making him there is a explosion and the man she creats come to life. This movies really isnt as simple as it seems there are very many twists and turns. Although there are fairly considerable plot holes in this film it is still charming at at points very funny.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Good.....but
Cheese,Cheese and more cheese,
Now being a big fan of all things teen, brit and corny i thought id love this film, but i wasnt too impressed. Its funny and I do love to watch when ive had a bad day of lectures but Its not something that i can watch over and over again,i hate to say it but the americans do succeed much better in making teen films, not including the gross out genre, films like 10 things....and bring it on....have a lot more class and style to them and dare i say it...even a wee bit more sophisticated....this film does tend to give 16 year old brits a bad name....its not a gross out and its not a sweet teen film....its somewhere in the middle, and it doesnt wash.Despite all this, the cast is good and the storyline is quite good, the script is ok but could do with a lot more one liners we could quote!
BRING ON THE CHEESE

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Hilarious comedy to melt your heart
As a comedy/romance lover, I own plenty of your standard "Teen angst romance" DVDs, but I keep coming back to this one a good two years after I bought it.

The cast are excellent, hilarious and believeable in their roles, with some brilliant one-liners. There is little to distract from the main plot, and while it's pretty obvious how the film's going to work out, you can't help smiling when Justine finally gets her man.

The film is supported by an excellent soundtrack - some songs you'll know, some you won't, but they work well.

If you want a film that's going to cheer you up and you don't mind a bit of the "stereotypical ways of young love" with a twist, this is the film for you.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - To think, Star Wars pushed this off the cinema screen, tsk!
There's been quite a bit of negative press in reviews of this film, but if you're a fan of the books by Chloe Rayban (title altered but same premise) like me then you'll enjoy it none-the-less. This is a teen brit flick that definately grows on you, with believable issues and strong central characters even the wildly absurd can be conveyed relatively believeably. Not a classic, but it can stand multiple viewings, especially the changing room scene (if you're a girl that is ;) ) Seriously though, watch it, you wont be disappointed.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Excellent, it was a great british film!
Wow, what can I say this was great having Rupert Penry-Jones starring as a female in a mans body. He put this forward so well very believable especially in the changing room. A 10/10 for an excellent performance from Laura Fraser and Rupert Penry-Jones. GREAT!!!!!!!
