- Good game for the money
As an adult, I found the skill needed to complete some worlds too difficult, but my 11 year old loves this game! He has already completed it, but has started over to experience it all again.
My 7 year old likes it, but it is too hard for her on some levels, too. My almost 4 year old likes it, but only plays around. He doesn't understand the game.
The graphics are good, the music is fine, and the characters are pretty cute. It has given my son hours of enjoyment, and at a reasonable price.
I would say buy this if you want a good game at a good price, but not if you are looking for a great game.
Rating: - The Best Of The Three Spyros
I feel this is the most interesting out of the three Spyro The Dragon games, the only thing wrong with it is that I think some of the levels will be too hard for younger children to play. Although Spyro 3 is more playable, this is a good one to start off on, as the original Spyro is the hardest of the 3 (in my opinion).

Spyro 2 is great diffeating Ripto is realy hard though, i thought Monneybags was really funny, but there's one downside it it didn't have any of the characters from spyro 3 year of the dragon exept Monneybags and sparx the dragonfly.
Rating: - Good Game Dreadful Ending
Since I got this game at Christmas, I have played it every day. It is a Brilliant game to play, lots to do, loads of cool challenges, but in the final world to get through the final door, you need all gems and all orbs. After 3 weeks trying to get the final few gems and last 2 orbs, I finally had the game complete and went through the last door. What a disappointment! Lets just say, so not to spoil others games, once you get into Dragon shores, dont bother with anything else.

This game changed my life. Before i was sure there wasn't a single game that had any real kind of longevity, and still had good replayability. Spyro 2 changed this opinion. I got it for christmas 1999 and since then i have replayed it 5 times - YES!! - i said 5 times!! It was such an engrosing game that when i finished it i couldn't play another game for a month! I just wanted to play it over and over, so thats what i did. This game changed my life, as i now realise that there are cute games that can be well made, have good playability, and longevity, and yet can still have so many mini games that the game never gets repetative. I LOVE THIS GAME! I hope to get Spyro 3:year of the dragon this christmas, and i definately think that i will like it as much if not more than Spyro 2 (if all the reviews i've read are true).
