- SOLID FIGHTER
There's no reason why you shouldn't enjoy this game.Simply because it features certain characters you knew from when you were little,like spider-man,the hulk,and wolverine.On the other hand, it features the famous street fighter characters, like ryu,chun-li and zangief.It's a solid game,with lots of colorful visuals and incredible 70-hit combos and aerial raves.It plays like street fighter, but its engine is more exaggerated meaning that you can jump even highter and do more insane combos.Marvel vs.capcom 2 is a better choice because it has EVERY character from the vs.fighting series[x-men cota,marvel super heroes,x-men vs.street fighter]but the sound isn't better than in this game!! the backgrounds have a lot more depth in mvc1 as well,such as the daily bugle building and the avengers headquarters.If you ain't at all bothered about sound and backgrounds,go for mvc2.

Capcom fans, you know who you are. This is classic capcom, a spot-on mixture of insane thumb manipulating combos and massive special moves. I really like it when games forget all logic and decide to be over-the-top and this pulls it off brilliantly. This game has a genuine wow factor about it even though it is in traditional 2-d. The controls are the standard method (high punch, high kick, medium punch.....) as are the options available. This is a good game but it only get three out of five. This is because i feel it produces nothing new. It's also a bit redundant now as the sequel has been released but this is the cheaper option. If you like capcom games, you'll like this, if not, walk away.
