- Final Fantasy?? Please this is way better..
A couple of nights ago i fancied a read of an old game magazine, to see what was the best games of the time.I picked up one of the official ps1 magazines.Legend of dragoon was mentioned in the comments page and after being a long time fan of this game i thought i should read it.4/10!!!!! Official ps1 magazine gave it 4/10!! Luckily the readers had more sense and were attacking this mag for giving it such a low score and rightly so! Since i got a ps2 ive been playing a few of my old ps1 games but this is the only game ive been wanting to buy.However this game is such a hard thing to find and apparently i never did anywell back then either and i think that is a real shame because this game gave me a different kind of fun when i rented it than ive ever experienced before.The story is fantastic and the amount of hours you get in the game is great.The best moment has to be when you use the dragoon ball for the first time though,i was blown away.You must buy this game,before this i thought games like final fantasy were boring but i was wrong.

I first rented this game 5 years ago, it was overdue buy 2 weeks before i took it back but when i did i never saw it again untill 3 years in a game shop, i bought it strait away and played it till i got to the 4th disk but when i did it was coded wrong and it wouldn't work so thats when i cam here and hav never givin it up yet it is by far th best rpg in the world and i wudnt trade it 4 anything, if you wqont a game to consume your life and mind then please buy this game nothings else compares!!!

This is easily the best rpg beyond the FF7-9 series on the PSone. The battle system is unique, and the world and it's monsters are superbly done. The plot, despite starting off dubiously, thickens greatly after the first disc or so, and the games is massive in it's proportions. The greatest moments are the video sequences which are liberally spread into the fantastic gameplay. I'd say the only minor problem the game has is the world map has fixed routes, rather than wandering around, but there are so many towns and areas, it will seem irrelavent in comparision. Highly under rated game, and if you've played FF to death, this is the next stop.

This is an excellent game which I bought years ago, just after its release. I wasn't disappointed either, as it compared very well to my other favourite RPG, Final Fantasy 7. Even now its great! The whole game system works extremely well, and it still looks good compared to new games! Its just a shame that Sony doesn't consider a re-release with updates...

The Legend of Dragoon is one of the few rpgs that come close to the Final Fantasy series by Squaresoft the game brings some new ideas into the genre such as the ablity to transform into Dragoons and the use of additions which finds you pressing the X button at the right time to pull off moves. The Story is amazing and is of FF standard the character are well designed and have a background and arent just there for the sake of it. The Cut scences are really nice, the in game graphics are similar to FF7 the battles look good for a ps1 game. A really good game which will see you kept busing for about 50 hours. 5 out of 5 no problem
