Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Worth It !
It's true that the game take quite a lot of talking and conversation, but that is to give the player feeling more realistic about the plot in the game. But the best of all, if you like final fantasy, you'll love this game! The animation are cool especially when you have enough Djinn to summon against your enemies. You'll start as Isaac and gain friends along your journey such as Garet, Ivan and Mia, each have their own speciality to help you on your quest. Anyhow, the game is great and worth to own!

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Buy this game stupid!
Golden Sun is an example of the powers of the GBA over the GBC. The graphics and the musical score are outstanding.I bought this game after reading areview at gamespot.co.uk and everything they said about it is true: The gameplay is good, the system for raising your charachters (by using djinn and gaining experience to gain new magic)is very innovative, it has clever puzzles and, unfortunately, one major flaw. It isnt very long for an RPG and may only take you 10-20 hours to complete if you speed through it(though you probably wont in order to collect all the djinn). However, all other aspects of Golden Sun make up for this and their is a guarenteed sequel. So stop gawking at this review and buy it!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - WOW
In one simple sentence, All GBA fans must have this. Where shall I start? You play the role of a a Teenager named Issac, your task is to bring back the elemental stones from the clutches of evil (I won't mention who the evil guys are.)Okay, so it's not really a compelling storyline, but the characters you meet around the HUGE map are interestig, each having a different thing to say. Along the way you have to perform mini tasks such as capturing robbers, competing in competitions and removing curses. All of these secondry missions are fun, and never the same.

But where it really gets good is when you go into battle, brilliant FMV sequences illustrate the fight along with easy to pick up controls. Another thing about the battles that make them brillaint are creatures called Djinn, these can either be set and stood by. When they are set they can perform a huge number of task, from attacking to reviving downed chracters. When they are on stand by they can be summond to turn into beasts of all sorts, the more Djinn you have the more power you have. Also there is psyenergy, this can either used outside of battle to effect objects our it can be used in battle. In battle Psyenergy is your main wepon, it ranges from earth moves to wind moves, each element effecting enemys in different ways. The baddies are varied, but some enemies are identical to others but larger and maybe a different colour.

I could go on forever about huge maps, brilliant temples, deep infomation charts and more but I won't. i have one thing to say. BUY IT! You have my blessing children.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Excellent RPG and a great game for beginners to the genre
Having read rave reviews of Golden Sun I decided to take the plunge, even though I am very poor at RPGs and usually find them complex and confusing (I'm more of a hack and slash kill things fast gamer). The instructions seemed confusing, but once I had the game loaded up and started playing - wow! I was hooked.
The graphics are gorgeous, the in-game music takes full advantage of the GBA's sound capabilities (a full string orchestra playing has *got* to be better than the tinny beeping of the GBC) and the way the game's storyline draws you in within the first few minutes is very well done. The characters' dialogue is full of humour and little asides, a far cry from the standard po-faced conversations one usually finds in such games.
The battle sequences are very intuitive, you'll find yourself handling the various attacks (with weapons, "psynergy" and the Djinni) with ease from the very start, and beating up the various creatures you encounter is a good way to earn coins and build up your characters, though constantly battling can get a little tedious even with a wide variety of attacks available.
The little cut scenes are excellently done, and the game is very accessible to beginners. If the whole Djinni thing smacks of Pokemon at times, at least the idea of collecting and battling creatures should be familiar, and some of the special effects are very impressive indeed. Its really hard to believe that this game is playing out on the tiny GBA screen, such is the overall quality.
Experienced RPG players might find it a little too easy but this game has had me transfixed for hours and its certainly the best thing to appear on any handheld for a long time. Dare I say its even more captivating than Zelda?

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Just Like Final Fantasy
Golden Sun puts GBA's graphics to its limits! The RPG game is almost identical to the main hit game Final Fantasy. The battle screen and the map screen are virtually the same. The storyline is what you'd probably expect, you have to save the world from its destruction. The magic and summons are excellent as are the choice of weapons. There are also status effects and djinni (these are hidden all over the game are a great help in your journey). In all, if you are a final fantasy fan then you'll love this GBA game. It is without a doubt the best RPG game for the GBA at the moment!
