- My favourite game ever made!
Wow. Just wow. This game is so dam good I couldn't put it down for weeks! By all means buy it! It seems really stupid, nintendo characters beating each other up, but it's a totally original game and excellently executed. The graphics are top notch for the gamecube, and although the fighting is like,3D 2D, the levels you fight on are exquisitely detailed and you'll keep playing to collect them all! There are trophies to collect, loads of kickass multiplayer modes, and millions of novelty nintendo items you can collect to beat up your foe. If you have a wii or gamecube, get this!!!

This game is really the players choice, with many characters from your favourite cartoons including Mario, Donkey Kong (DK) and lots of Pokemon. The game contains many different levels and unlockables to complete, with characters having there own land. For people who want to play online, or against other friends there is a tournment (4 players) which you can either fight or race. Overall i think the game is an outstanding product for anyone who loves a bit of fun, or finds racing and fighting with cartoons amusing. 10/10!! don't hesitate to buy!?!?!

Yep, it's one of Nintendo's most endearing qualities - the bizarre sense of a wider community that all its characters, despite coming from wildly different worlds, seem to possess. So here it is - Super Smash Bros. Melee, the second in Ninty's crossover beat 'em up series.
The characters present are a mixed bag of predictable Nintendo favourites and a few nice surprises (one of which in particular should have older Nintendo fans clapping their hands in sheer delight). The gameplay roots itself firmly on the opposite end of the scale on which you might find more tactically-minded, martial arts-orientated beat 'em ups such as Tekken. Melee is all about quick and insane bouts of joyfully unrealistic cartoon violence. This is hardly surprising, really, considering the background of most if not all of the characters involved.
The attention to detail here is absolute, with little things such as weapons, level design and even sound all adding to the sheer fun. The graphics are still holding their own, even if they don't look quite so fresh anymore. Although moves are activated in more-or-less the same way for each character, they all have different enough styles to feel distinctive from each other. As for longevity, there's enough to do here to keep you going for a long time without getting bored.
Whether or not this will be worth buying after Super Smash Bros. Brawl comes out on the Wii remains to be seen. But for now, this is still a very worthwhile addition to your collection.

This is easily the best game on the console with a multiplayer mode.
For those of you who don't know this game involes Nintendo characters beating each other up in 18 locations based on Nintendo games (simple isn't it?), However instead of hitting them until they run out of heath, you have to hit them off the stage to K.O. them. This simple formula adds up to an amazing experiance. With 3 mojor single player modes( there are others, see below),Adventure, Classic and All-Star (unlockable), each with 5 levels of difficulty (not to mention over 50 Event Matches where you have to acheve certain aims) this game has unprecidented replay value.
Better still is the Vs. mode, this is where the fun goes into overdrive. You will be suprised at how addictive this can be. I have been playing this for more than 5 years and am not bored with it! You can play with friends [Extra controllers required] or CPUs which have 9 difficulty levels to ease you into the game, or provide more of a challenge. Also fun are the Special Melees which add extra elements, based on items, to the game like the Giant, Metal or Invisable melees and some give new pespectives like Fixed Camera, Single-button mode or Slow-motion melee (There is so much to unlock it is unreal: Single player modes, characters, even more stages, almost 300 trophies and more.)
Loads of records are kept including from the Stadium mode which is Target test (hit all the targets as fast as you can) Home-rum contest(hit a sand bag as far as you can (higher damage means greater distance) and Multi-man Melee (how many Wire-frame people can you K.O. in a set time OR how long will it take you to K.O. an amount of them)
Buy this game! you will not regret it! (Also, look out for Super Smash Bros. Brawl, it promices to be the best game this year. With online play! Can't wait!) In conclusion you must, must buy this game, I have never met anybody who has played it and did not enjoy it. Ever.

super smash bros melee is yet another game made by nintendo seen on the nintendo gamecube.But it dosent just have one nintendo allstar, OH NO it has 32 of diffrent charecters 27 of them being playible.
(thats if you count the ice climbers as 2 and sheik as her own charecter)

ok those are the charecters with infomation on them can be found in the trophy gallery,speaking of trophys they are great to corrlect they help you find out a bit more about nintendo and it's cool when you get one you recognise like the ocarina of time or the gamecube.some of the trohys are easy to find on the lottery but some are harder since you have to special tascks to get them.
(e.g to get the sand bag trophy you must get over 200 feet on the homerun contest)
very special trophys like pikmin can be found by useing a memory card with pikmin on it all thow that can be gained on the lottery to.
about the areanas they are basickly side scrolling but they are still 3D if you get what I mean. there are loads of arenas some are just simple platforms and some are moveing car tracks and stuff like that.
basicly super smash bros melee is a great game so heres my pros and cons.
