Video Games : Halo

Rating: - a must have
If u got a Xbox u simply need this game its just ashame it aint a classic yet but its way worth the money simply the greatest shooter on Xbox untill Halo 2 any ways

Rating: - A disappointing Game for a disappointing console
Having seen the fawning and pandering reviews about Halo I chose to make it my second Xbox Game (after Ghost Recon) and all I have to say about this game is that, aside from its very good graphics there is nothing in it, whatsoever, to recommend it on, for the main part it is boring and in some areas fiendishly difficult. The plot while superficially interesting is soon cast aside as the game becomes an endless killing spree that requires less than no skill (the only difficult points come against some god like bosses, whose presence I am sure was thrown in to give what would otherwise be a very very dull game a little bit of colour, in the form of dying and having to repeat the same section again and again). If you own any other first person shooter even if that includes Goldenye and Half-life, than there is simply no point in buying this game, it is utterly pointless, unless you own no other console and thus need a firstperson shooter (even then i would wait till Half 2 comes out on Xbox). Halo was one of the first games on Xbox and as such could not be measured against other games of the same genre and platform, however when it comes out on PC its many failings will be shown, as there are many many much better First person shooters for PC, no competition at all for Half-life 2 or Doom 3. Deserves a negative number of Stars.

The game is alright at first until the first hour then it becomes boring!!! and u can even die from this also the x box which i have sold because it the disc from this game HALO the console crack in half and so did my t.v!!! DONT BUY THIS GAME NOR THE CONSOLE INFACT!!!

Rating: - Halo - FPS on a console that works?
Well being a big PC Internet gamer of FPS games I just knew it wouldn't work. Dammnit you need a mouse and a keyboard to play these games properly. Every decent player will tell you that. You just can't get into the thick of the action straffing all over, hurling grenades and 'death dancing' with the enemy while clocking up frags on a gamepad. Can you?

How wrong was I? The control system works which surpsrised me but the game itself is magical. You just get drawn in. 3am and the girlfriends saying come to bed and your saying let me just finish this mission I've got to rescue captain Keyes. The levels look great but sometimes are a little confusing and you find yourself elying on the arrows painted on the floor, but the AI is great and the enemy do use decent tactics on you. You soon learn what you can run down and nail point blank and what you have to hang back and play dodge the lasers with. And then when the flood turn up just keep your finger on the fire button!!! Its been out since the Xbox this game and it STILL sells. Surely that should tell you enough!

My favorite bit was getting into the tank and blowing hell out of everything that moved and anything that didn't! The Warthogs fun in Co-op as well, you and your teammate just start racing for the gunners seat whilefighting off hordes of badguys.
