Video Games : Kirby's Air Ride (GameCube)

- Kirby's Air Ride
Kirby's Air Ride is a High Class game from the creators of Super Smash Brother Melee (Hudson.) I have played the game for a fair while just to get a taste of the game. I have marked it under the following catergories.
Graphics: 7/10: Good graphics but some of the levels could have been more realistic.
Sound: 4/10: No classy tunes, just boring stuff. Didn't really work. In racing games, you need funky music.
Control: 8/10: Easy to control but corners are a bit dodgey.
Levels: 9/10: Most of the levels are fun and each provides fun gameplay. It secures the game a good mark. One of my favourites was the Magma Falls level. I thought it caught the character of the game well.
Overall: 8/10: A good game which has it's moments of ups and downs. One improvement it could make for a higher mark would be sound and graphics. Sorry Hudson but your game didn't quite beat Mario Kart: Double Dash!

Well done Hudson. A highly enhoyable game which I have enjoyed playing for the last hour. I do hope that a new Kirby title will waggle it's way on to the Nintendo Gamecube in the near future.

Well all I can say is I'm really dissapointed. It's really meant for the under 12's and if you were expecting something along the lines of Mariokart Double Dash then forget it.
I've played it for about 2 hours trying to see if there is something unique about the game thats appealing but frankly theres not.
If you think about buying this - then do so at your own risk - your money will be better spent on MarioKart!!
Got to go....got a game to go trade in!!!

From the creators of the highly spectacular Super smash brothers games comes Kirby air ride. Think of Tons of Kirbys riding on stars battling to get to the finish line and you've got only a small idea of what this game is. Think lots of courses of great detail and Enjoyment, think power up as strange as you'll ever see in any other game. Think 4 player madness as well as a LAN link up to really get the most of KAR. Think a easy control system to really get a hold of this title quickly! Excited? You should be as Kirbys air ride is a real breath of fresh air!
