Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - MarioKart GC!
This is the game you want for the gamecube. Finally Mariokart is on the new platform and thankfully its all good!

Being lucky enough to play a pre-release version, its clear Nintendo have progressed from MarioKart 64 and have created a new game that 0wns the originals.

Dual players and improved powerups make for better gameplay and the new solarburn powerup is the best yet!

its Dew out mid November and should be a niceone for all GC owners to buy. Avoid the Fluffle and pre order now as its likely to be in short supply after release!

And character wise...mUnkay 0wns j00! :)

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Double Dash
As I'm sure you'll all agree, Mario Kart on the N64 was the pinnacle of multiplayer racing. It still to this day gets the odd run around with a few friends, that was until I recieved this delightful package!
Double Dash is a spruced up version of MK64, with gorgeous graphics, a shed loads of characters to play with and a new take on the kart classic. This being that there are two characters per kart - so you get to weigh up the Speed, Acceleration and Weight attributes by carefully choosing two different characters as well as the actual racing kart.
The Single player game and multiplayer VS. modes are very similar to the MK64 version as are the general track layouts. This, however, isn't a bad thing as it is what kept the Mario Kart games a cut above the rest. Hitting the'?' blocks will reveal the original weapons from MK64 as well as character specific ones - whoever is on the back of the kart will collect the weapon - you can change mid race between the driver and backseat thrower, in order to get each characters special weapon.
The game really shines in the 2-player CO-Operative Mode!
Yes you heard me right - player 1 starts off as the driver and player 2 as the weapon thrower! You can, as always switch characters, but in order to win, you will have to practice transferring positions and turbo skids in order to time them right. This is the real change to the Mario Kart franchise and is not to be missed - A Grand Prix, 1 cart and 2 players -
Let The Good Times Roll.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Double Dash Tastic!
Nintendo first released details of Mario Kart, just before E3, the media frenzy what followed added to the hype of the game.

Nintendo who needed killer games has re invented the kart game with a host of new ideas to keep the Kart franchise feeling fresh and rewarding.

A recent play test at the Nintendo Stand only confirmed this in London, when they showed off the near final build of the game.

You will first notice the amount of characters, 16 to be exact (Nintendo have promised a few hidden secrets, anyone remember the shrink cheat in the first mario kart has plenty to look forward too) each with there own special powers, so after choosing 2 characters then you need to choose a Kart! This is where you have to think about the characters choosen and how they work together.

The Karts are split into groups, this means that certain karts are only avaliable to certain characters, you can't have say TOAD and BOWSER in the same Kart as Toad will be to small in one kart and Bowser to big in another, so you have to learn the right balance.

Once you have choosen your characters and kart the fun then begins, Your eyes flick franticly around the screen studying the way the characters are moving in the karts, you can see in the distant giant flowers moving to the mellow music and then your off and the music changes at the same rate you accelerate and the entire course comes to life with small bits of detail that you will miss if you don't look hard enough, turtle shells whizz past and the mario cry and yoshi scream will remind players of the past Mario Kart games. The game plays incredible well, hitting the A button accelerates and B brakes, Z switches characters and L Jump and R Power Slide, X activates your special power and Y your holding item, everthing is laid out easily and becomes second nature instantiously.

What you might not know about the game is it's support for 8 Kart Multi-Player action, with the use of the gamecube broadband adapator, you can have a configuration for up to 16 players, using 8 Karts, which on the GameCube is sure to be fun. 2 Players are teamed together and use 1 Kart, by hitting the Z button at the same time they can swap around and continue racing. It truely is an amazing experience, even when watching.

With numerous play modes, including Battlemode, 16 player support, it seems you can't go wrong. There is also a suggestion that the game can be played over the internet, if hooked up to your PC, which was previously done on the XBOX with Halo.

This is truely the highlight of the GameCube and with F-Zero Just released GameCube and racing fans are in for a fun filled November.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Very good
It is very good but doesn't play anywhere near as well as Mario Kart 64. The main problem is that the kart doesn't handle as well, in Mario 64 the kart used to be tuned just right so that you had the right amount of grip on every bend.

The problem here is that the graphics and the fact you can lob more missiles has taken over from the actual gameplay so I am afraid it is not the killer title that we were all hoping for.

Now heres a bestseller!. The sequel to the n64 game mario cart only this one is more advanced you can either ride or hit people. You can choose from a whole varioty of people like donkey kong, didy kong, mario, luigi, peach all the oldies and jrs and there is sum funny things e.g pic 1 of the babys and they have a pram then team up with browser or donkey kong then make sure that their driving and see a big bulky person in a tiny wee pram. The levels are bigger and better and the best was to play would be on a multiplayer.Another great thing each player has there own secret weapon wich is much more effective than the ones that u pic up e.g yoshi i think has a great big shell so a lot of damage is done.jolly good. And once again another great thing there are alot of hidden passages so look out for them they'll help you alot.A deffinet 10/10 a real winner and will stay the best game out for gamecube until.....God only knows so i say buy it, it will entertain you for hours on end.
