This is a racing game featuring the characetrs from the nintendo- more specifically mario world. The aim is basically to win races while using the classic power ups like red shell.
+ Get people round for multiplayer
+ Great graphics
- Sound isn't amazing
- New power slide system doesn't work as well as the classic one.

disapointing, short, could have been better, so what do you do after you have raced around the 15 tracks 100 times? could have added a lot more tracks buy it? no borrow it? yes
Rating: - Mario Kart Double Dash- a little too short?
This game has amazing colourful graphics, stunning sound- the voices of all the unique characters are there, along with snazzy music that really puts you in the mood for karting. The great gameplay- whilst it lasts, provides you with some very original tracks, such as wario colusseum, which consists of lots of jumps and driving around on a twisty metal netted surface. The tracks are very colourful, and this is a game that will definetley cheer you up if you're bored. But the best part of the game is in the title (Double Dash). You get to control two characters, of any choice- you can mix Bowser and Yoshi for example. One character drives, whilst the other uses the power ups you grab whilst racing. You can switch positions, and this adds to the mayhem even more! The multiplayer is a mazing- on one screen, you can have one person driving whilst the other uses the power ups, and you can of course switch. This definetely adds to the funny side of this game, and you can sit for hours exploring the tracks. Overall, this is definitely a game for all you mario fans. But keep in mind- once you've done each of the races a few times, you probably won't want to do them again!

Is an extremely exciting, halarious cartoon kart racing game. As you speed throught tracks on boats, beaches and busy roads, you are able to collect items to knock down your opponents. I've always loved cartoon racing games, as for like in this game you are not restricted to just racing. You can have up to four players in a battle arena, to bomb down your apponent in halariously unique karts. Levels are greatly detailed, with loads of obstacles and short cuts.
You can play with well known characters such as, donkey kong, Wario, luigi and of course mario. You can have up to two characters on each kart, which is a great way of racing. One driving the kart, through the fun filled track and the other using weapons such as bannanas, bombs and mushrooms which give your kart, a boost along the track.
The multiplayer modes are very good. As you are able to be with or against each other. If you have three or more players you are able to team up and have exciting, thrilling ride.
Rating: - Great game......but could be better
I have played the other titles in the MK seriers, but this is the first one that i've owned myself. Contrary to other reviews i'm a bit more disapointed however.
There is not enough to unlock in the grand prix mode, and it does not take long before you can access all that the game has to offer. The ability to hold 2 weapons at a time and mix them up adds needed varity to the game, however this is as far as it goes. In the end the different characters aren't really that different, the car you choose is more important.
There are only 16 tracks and 6 arenas to battle in. Some of you may think this is alot, but it is barely adequate for a game of this stature. All tracks and arenas are good mind you, but they could have been so much more, and so many more of them. There are more tracks on the GBA version!!
At this point you may be wondering why with all my critisms of the game that I still gave it a 4 start rating. These things do not take away from the game, but if they had been improved the game would be and could have been amazing. The reason for the 4 stars is the muliplayer.
Muliplayer is where MK:Double Dash excels. To put it simply, it is just so much fun. This does make up for some of the short falls in some way, and is the one redeeming factor of the game. 4 player is where its at, especially with the weapons set to frantic, meaning that anyone can win. The game has the ability for up to 16 players (provided you have 4 GCs each with a broadband adapter, 4 copiesMK:Double Dash, 16 controllers, 4 TVs and the necessary cables) but due to the need for alot of extra equipment, i have not tried this facility out, although if you have access to these i'm sure it would be fantastic.
All in all, easy to learn, could be improved but worth buying for the muliplayer alone.
