Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Were Digging A Hole In The Road
When Pac-Man became a huge hit throughout the world, Dig Dug followed his foots steps and became a popular hit throughout the years. And for fans who own an XBox 360, you can now dig much more holes on the XBox Live Arcade.

In Dig Dug, you control a man and your goal is to dig larges hole throughout the entire arena and defeat all the enemies around. To defeat them, you must use your plunger and pump them up until they explode. Once all the enemies are defeated, you can advance to another level. As the levels get higher, the difficulty, speed, and enemies increase. You can also obtain huge amount of points and achievements by eating the fruit and vegetables supplied in the centre part of the arena. Rocks are also around the arena, which can also be used to defeat a large sum of enemies!

The XBox Arcade version of this game contains a Leader-Board score chart, which places your score worldwide once you obtain Game Over and 12 Achievements, which give you a total score of 200 Points!

Now the only reason why I bought the game is because one day the game along with Gauntlet was reduced from 400 Points to 200 Points which was a one-day bargain hit, so I decided to buy it using my remaining Microsoft Points before the offer expired. The achievements I didn't find now all that bad but the achievement where you got to dig all the dirt in the arena and get four enemies with one rock I found are intense. My brother helped me out though on some occasions

My Personal Game Score: 7/10: On The Ball, Down-But Not Out, OK

My Wish: I wish that the fruit appeared regularly rather than you having to drop 2 rocks and waiting for it to come. I also wish the enemies were more slower and easier, and I also wish the achievements were a little slightly easier too!

Final Comments: I recommend Dig Dug if you fancy some achievements which are fairly simple to get. But I do think you will get bored with the game after a short while!
