at first it may seem like a chick fleek but it changes about an hour in. it has a lot of the people from the first one. wat i dont like is the way its based into a misson type game. it also tells you how far into the game u are and makes it seem real short

Put simply the game is terrible. Not one part of it is good in my opinon. The story is rubbish. In some places it makes no sense. I seriously recommend that you pick a different game.

- If you've got the patience, this is a brilliant game
After speaking with many people who played the game before I actually bought it, I had mixed feelings on whether X-2 could live up to the standard of Final Fantasy X. But I decided to buy it anyway as I own the previous Playstation Final Fantasy titles.
During the first few hours or so of playing, I wasn't overwhelmed by the game and just thought of it as a run of the mill RPG, but with the new system of percentage completion when playing, I decided to buy the guide after completing it for the first time.
If the game is explored fully and if you try to rack up 100% completion, this becomes a magnificent and addictive game. There was a point when I was playing the game up to around 15 hours a day last year, and to completely master the game by obtaining all the dress spheres and six Iron Dukes (giving the ultimate defence and offence for wach character), racked up an immense 180 hours of gameplay. And I must say I enjoyed every minute of it!
So, for those who are patient with RPG games and try to play games to their full potential, this one's for you. If not, then it's still a highly enjoyable game, but you may want to wait for Final Fantasy XII later this year

As a big fan of the final fantsy series i bought this game with high expectations. However, final fantasy x-2 did not live up to them and actually fell way short. you are very limited in your exploration compared to the previous ff games. Because you had to do missions rather then the story unfolding as you progress the game had more of a platform feel to it rather then an rpg. without the usual sword-wielding main character you instead have three women, who although may be lovely, just get annoying. when yuna bursts into song that is the last straw!
lack of depth in the storyline 20 hrs of gameplay max to do everything unlike the 70+hrs we are used to with ff. a decent game but not up to scratch with ff7 or ff9. unless you are a big fan of ff like me i would suggest against buying this game. but its up to you.

The things that make FF games so intriguing and compelling for me at least:
- Charm
- Plot
- An adddictive battle system
- Good music
For me FFX-2 has none of these. the music is truly unbearable, like a karaoke of a karaoke gone mad. The battle system just isn't intriguing enough for me to bother to gear/level up to beat a really early boss; and it seems there are only three playable characters, who can each equip any 'dress sphere', so none of the precious stone-hoarding compulsion of FF7, or the excellent switchable characters with definite roles as seen in FFX. i got about 4 hours in and binned it - by contrast i've wasted 100's of hours on 7 8 and 10, so they must have been doing something right (imho). Good graphics (one *) and mild cyberporn (one *) are just not enough...
