Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - A must play game
if you like rpg this is the one for you although gets boreing levling sometimes when you hit lvl 70 then the real fun sarts raiding either alliance if you choose hordeor raiding horde if you choose alliance +you get great mounts and a flying mount if you got TBC (the burning crusade) expansion.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Lost interest in record time
I know this review will come under a lot of flak but I think it must be said; WoW is nothing special. There, I've said it.
It is simplistic, repetitive and so childish that I was rather embarrassed by it in places. Character creation is basic at best (for someone whose played star wars galaxies when it was good and city of heroes/villains the limited choice on how your avatar looks is pitiful). I had two characters; an Orc shaman and a Blood Elf Paladin. I got the orc to level 18 and the paladin to level 27 and I can honestly say that aside from a few spells/abilities, they played pretty much the same as when they were level 1. To me there felt no incentive to slog through to the giddy heights of level 70.
Also, if you do get this make sure you're someone who likes pvp. I do not and thus being challenged to duels (with no reward I must add) constantly and the general nature of many of its players (prepare for abuse aplenty) it makes for a rather unpleasant atmosphere.
I can see why WoW is popular; its nonthreatening and easy to get into but for me it was a case of losing interest rapidly and accepting that I've wasted a lot of time for nothing.
I recently read about the new expansion, Wrath of the Lich King (I think that's what it's called) which, amongst other things, introduces a new unlockable hero class that sounds rather spiffing; the Death Knight. A warrior type class with the ability to summon; fantastic. I was almost ready to dive back into Warcraft. Alas, to get this class (when the expansion comes out of course) you have to reach level 80 (the new max level) and then you have a new Death Knight character whose already a high level. That ruined it for me.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Shocking! ... Shockingly good that is!!
I purchased this game 3 weeks ago, it is so good you cant describe it!
I was a xbox 360 fanboy, after a week of World of Warcraft, I have sold the 360 with no regrets!
Paying £9 per/month is punitive compared to the enjoyment you will get.
The only downside is how addictive it is, it literally sucks your life out of you! Im not kidding!
Anyway, thats my 10 minute break over. Time to log back on to WOW ; )

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Unbelievably overrated
I was very disappointed by this game. Having played the far superior City of Heroes for months on end a friend finally persuaded me to pick this up. Sadly I regret doing so. The player base is immature and I'm already fed up of the "loot" system and all the camping around waiting for the right spawn. I'll be going back to City of Heroes so quickly.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - World of Warcraft is called WoW for a reason.
I bought this game thinking it would be O.K but not great. During the depressing 2 hours installation. (yes you will have to put up with it) I figured if it takes 2 hours to install it must be pretty big and full of detail. My first 5 mins on the game were amazing, you can get straight into the action. the graphics are brilliant, total and complete interaction with people. Auctions, private chat, mail.etc. If you do buy this game you will have to pay the monthly fee, which isn't exactly a good thing. If you can afford the fee this game is fantastic. 1 problem is when you are playing this game you see people running around who are lvl 70 and have mounts like dragons, you can't get this unless you buy the burning Crusade. You get the feeling that you are missing out and are compelled to buy the expansion as many others have. A great game none the less.
