I got this game because All my other games i lost interest and/or finished them so I had a look on Amazon for a good game and i came across this I had already heard it never ends and there is and endless amount of quests. I thought it will probally keep me going for a couple of days before i got bord (thats what usaly happens) so i bought it. it took about three hours to install on my windows xp and another half hour of patches but my computer has alot of memory so it doesnt relly matter anyway i registered and created my first charictor (a human warrior) and then thought 'right time to see if all the rumors of it being so gr8 r true' and I walked up to my first quest giver and accepted the quest as soon as i had finished the quest I was hooked this game has something no other games have and I still can't put my finger on it and the game never seems to let it self down on anything apart from the loading time of the constent stream of patches. also just to let you know the graphics are not the best ever but it makes up for it by makes some buitiifull cartoony locations from the graphics engine and almost no loading times is a big + overall if you are like me and you are bored give this a try i can almost garanty you will get hooked (ive been playing for four months solid already) and also the subsciption fees arnt to bad but the first month is free .anyway buy this game!

This game really does have it all in terms of entertainment. I wouldn't recomend this for "casual gamers" however because it can become extrememly demanding (and addictive) in fact some people have been admitted to rehab due to this game, thankfully i am not one of them. There is so much to achieve in this game- so much so it will never get dull (except whilst levelling from lvls 30 to 40 as there are few quests at this stage) and the burning cruesade expansion pack brings about a whole new dimension to this game. Personally however i prefer Lord of the Rings online which has just come out however this is probably because i am a huge fan of the LOTR books and films and can relate to the game more.
I would give this 4.5 stars but there is no option to do so, so i gave it 5. If you have time to spare- try it out. If you're not sure its for you pick up a 14 day trial for free from your local gaming retailer as it's not for everyone.

First lets get this out of the way, no im not a WoW flamer, im a neutral gamer that has played wwaaayyyy too many MMO's. So far this is my 5th favourite after Vanguard,EQ2,EQ and guild wars. Its not that its bad per say but just that it didnt appeal to me when i played it. The cartoon graphics were a big problem for me, it automatically makes the game look like a childs game which is sort of proven by the "i pWnd u n00b" you receive after getting wiped out by an uber gamer who has come to kill everyone in the nooby zones. The limited amount of character creaion options also put me off, dont expect to be able to make a unique character as most people of the same race will look the same and be the same class.
Gotta say i do like the seamlessness of it, forget about all that zoning in other MMO's, they should learn their lesson from WoW. The world is also huge which is nice meaning lots of things to do although somethings can get repetitive and seem like you've done them only in another zone.
Overall, not great but not rubbish, a more complex and skillful game is what im looking for though and if you are too then i wouldnt recommend this

I have been playing for over a month now, and I have enjoyed it thoroughly. I've been fairly lucky though and got into a great guild where everyone's friendly and helpful(and willing to form parties to do instances/quests), and have a great time RPing and getting into the atmosphere of the world.
Pros:
1. Very fun, very addictive. (could be a con if you have important things that need doing, you'll be stuck at your computer for hours)
2. Incredibly immersive(on RP or RP-PVP servers anyway). It pulls you in and refuses to let you leave. So long as people actually follow the rules of RP servers, this is one of the most immersive MMOs I've played. The lore is fantastic, too, very well-thought-out. And WoW also contains lots of references to Warcraft 1-3, though the effects of the events in Warcraft 3 are the most immediately obvious.
3. Tons, and I mean tons, of content. And I'm only at level 29. There's still Lordaeron, the vast majority of Kalimdor and Outland for me to explore, and I already feel like I've got more out of this than most of the games I own.
4. Battlegrounds. I don't recommend them before 30, though, because in my experience you'll get killed over and over by some goddamn twink. You'll see what I mean in level 10-19 Warsong Gulch...
5. Guilds. Well, some of them anyway. If you get into a good guild, then WoW will become about ten times more enjoyable for you. For instance, asking a question on your guild channel will generally be waaay more helpful than asking on the general channel. If this is not true, find a better guild, because general chat is usually filled with ten-year-olds who have nothing better to do than spam "omglol u a n00b lolzor i haxx0r u nwo kk lol" and similar messages. Though this is usually not a problem on low-population servers, or on RP/RP-PVP, it is a major problem on high-population PVP or normal servers.
Cons:
1. The previously mentioned idiots on the general channel.
2. It can get boring. The usual solution is play something else for a while, or try out other classes. Play every class to about level 10, then pick your favourite. Thankfully, I got my favourite class figured out in one go.
3. The external downloader program is slooow. Patches take forever to download.
Overall, it is a fantastic game. I recommend it to any RPG fans, or any MMO fans. Get in a good guild, get used to a particular class, enjoy.

The World Of Warcraft, just the name sounds mouth wateringly violent and imaginative.
The basic structure of the game is to create a character of which you can chose youre alligence, race, class and apperance. After creating youre character you enter the World Of Warcraft where it is you goal to achive level 60 by killing monsters and completing quests. Acording to the class you have chosen you get a diffrent selection of moves and attacks which are set at youre disposal to abliterate youre enemys. For instance if you enjoy running up to a big scary monster and giving it a good old wack on the head with a huge sword the you want to be a Warrior. But if its more youre thing to stand well back from youre target and hurl a huge firey ball of mass destruction followed by a quick few zaps with a wand then its a Mage that will most satisfy you. All in all there are ten races and nine classes. This give the user the ability to create the perfect character for you.
