Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Hitman: Contracts? More like Mission Impossible
Hitman contracts is a sequel after hitman 1 and 2, it is not officialy hitman 3 it is just a game to play while you are waiting for hitman 3.

The main frame is you are number 47 in a hitman agency and the levels you actually go on are flash back (i dont know what on since i havnt comleted the game)and it reveals more as you go along.

I had this Game for my birthday and to be perfectly honest it doesnt do justice- it is nothing compared to hitman 2 and if gamers who have played the other hitmans will know if you fibre wire someone it does it quickly but in contacts you have to wait ages and you have to be perfectly accurate, also when you drag someone it takes ages since you drag them by foot-if the hitman game creator is reading this please note that if possible can agent 47 carry corpses on his back or shoulders. This game is virtually impossible for me anyway and for people who found hitman 1 or 2 very hard they are going to find this impossible so if you not that good at hitman 1 or 2 i advise not to buy this- i am only thinking of your stress levels and blood pressure!

For first time players i advise buying hitman 1 and 2 then buy this and for hitman players i say its a good game but i think hitman 3 will be a lot better.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - patience is a virtue
If you've got patience and like to think when your playing games then Hitman Contracts is for you. There are many ways to go about completing the kill on each mission. The choice is yours.Me? I'm not a patient man when it comes to gaming and ended up using a guide to complete this title. I still found it fun but missed out on any sense of achievement.
good points: choice of difficulty, sniping, maps.
bad points: limited saves per mission, occasionally frustrating.
lifespan: approx 9 hrs to complete once using a guide.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - SO GOOD THEY MADE IT TWICE!
Upon playing Hitman Contracts initially I was a little miffed that most of the missions were remakes from Hitman: Codename 47 but this really is only a minor complaint.

The Hitman series for me, is the greatest game series ever made, and quite frankly I can't get enough of it, the old remade missions actually require different tactics from the originals as subtle changes have been made so it's still all good.
The new missions are fantastic, especially Beldingford Manor, what a map and mission that is.

I suggest buying the Prima Official strategy guide to compliment this game, if you're a Hitman fanatic like me you'll want to know every which way a hit can be made, a lot of people have complained the game is too short, although I completed it in what my end stats said was 2 and a half hours, I've actually been playing it every day for over a month, trying and testing every which way a mission can be played, that's the beauty of Hitman games, with the right tactics, I got a final rating of Silent Assassin with only 7 bullets fired in the whole game on hard level, I can't recommend the strategy guide enough, you'll get much more gameplay time out of hitman when you know more ways to complete missions, which then in turn gives you even more ideas to improvise your own, blasting your way through like some of the gamers here seemed to have done is a complete waste of this game, and certainly wouldn't work on the hardest level, a good hitman takes out only his targets and no one else.

The graphics look nice, slightly better than the last hitman, gameplay is quite well done, although there's a major flaw where sometimes a single headshot doesn't kill a person which is preposterous. The cutscenes will make no sense to anyone who didn't play the first hitman game, as he is having flashbacks from previous missions, the first mission is actually a continuation of where the first game ended, where he killed his own father, and all his clone brothers, now he has to escape the cloning lab and sanatorium.

Hitman 4 is already being worked on and is due out 3rd quarter 2005, which might explain the shortness of 'Contracts'. I personally can't wait for more.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Stunning (literally...)
This game has many vast improvements on hitman 2. Firstly, the graphics have been souped up and the game is very realistic. There is a wide variety in missions, some are extremely short and some are quite long. I think that one disappointment is that the game only counts weapons from the last save of that level as being collected, which means that you need to get silent assasain with a sniper rifle, its not going to happen! Overall, a great game, and well worth the five stars. YOU HAVE NO EXCUSE NOT TO BUY IT!!!!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Buy this, its worth it!!
The hitman series has caused contreversy from the offset. Obviously being a psychotic bald assassin is not to everyones taste. Its definately to mine though. This game is arguably the best in the series (some would say number 2 is still the better). You start at one of the most disturbing opening levels in a game, in a mental institute. On your journey around the hospital you'll see other assasins who just couldnt handle themselves, and very strange patients wandering aroung garbling utter gibberish. You are lead to believe that this level is a simple walkthrough, but 5 minutes in and you will hear a swat team crash through the building. Its up to u how u handle it. How about stealing a swat uniform, and join them running around, or how about getting your ballers out and shooting your way through?. That is the great thing about this game, its totally up to u on how u complete missions, (the going mad with a rifle is fun at first but you'll regret it later!). The graphics are a little below standard, but the musical score is atmospheric and works well. Killing has never been so rewarding on the xbox. Buy this and become as disturbed as me. ha ha ha.
