Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Great Strategy Game
Those who have watched the cartoon or played the previous games should get plenty of enjoyment out of this game. It features pretty much all the cards that you will have seen in the original series (but misses out on some cards like 'polymerisation'). The time it takes to increase your dueling level and deck capacity can take a while but there are a good mix of duelists you can challenge that get harder as the game progresses.

The superior/inferior rule regarding the elements makes the game more of a challenge, but some of the spell cards like 'change of heart' are extremely frustrating. You end up just continually stealing eachothers monsters and cancelling eachother out. The Egyptian God cards are the only cards you can play without being affected.

Graphics are pretty decent, the pictures of the cards are detailed and I can't wait to play the Yu-gi-oh DS game with 3D images of the Monsters coming out of the cards to battle. There are slight glitches however that are ridiculous and should never have been allowed: the permanent effect of certain monsters are scanned every time you place a card on the field, so it slows the game play up dramatically, eg. Slifer the Sky Dragon. It comes to the point where you will just avoid putting such monsters in your deck to save the hassle.

On the whole though the game is very playable and if you can look past some minor problems you'll just enjoy it for what it is - a good strategy card game.

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Slight improvement from the last game but not great
This game is the sequel to the sacred cards, which in my opinion was god awful. The dueling system was rubbish and the fact you couldn't save at the end really took the buscuit. Now I must say this game is no better.
All the faults from The Sacred Cards are all still rearing their ugly heads in this game. The duelling system is still just plain rubbish. You still can't save at the end. You can only duel key people once, and the list goes on.
On the slight plus there are a few more cards and a slight graphical improvement. Just keep away from this game and wait for Day of the Duelist, coming out very soon.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - A patient game, long lasting though
Yu gi oh has had many games in the past, these games are all about dueling with no real storyline and just choosing who you want to duel, which i must say was pretty boring. BUT, reshesf of destrution contiues on from thesacred crad game which was the first to have RPG elements, i have never play sacred cards though. The RPG element make the game so much more with a storyline of reshef the dark being want to dostry the world and you have to save it, firstly by getting all of the millenium items back, not just the millenium puzzel as stated in another review, but you do get an egition god card slyfer the sky dragon, that you dont keep for the whole game. On the dueling side, there are a few tweaks, with the old superior->inferior back, this makes it harder and easier to beat duelist. there are also alot of neo ghouls to beat, they are now run by the leader bandit keith when formally run by marik ishtar and were called the rare hunters. This game offers alot to yu gi oh masters or player who know the rules but will take a while to get used to for newbies, very strategic and very long lasting with the new deck building style. Good luck and enjoy.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Really good game, I think
YU-GI-OH! Reshef of Destruction is the sequel to YU-GI-OH! The Sacred Cards. In this game, you're in a battle with Reshef the Dark Being, and the fate of the world is at stake! In this game, you play as (Insert name), who is freinds with Yugi Motou and Joey Wheeler. Yugi's Puzzle has been stolen, and it's up to you to find it. You set out with Yugi and Joey following you(This is a quite annoying feature) to get the Millenium Puzzle back, but what else will you uncover...........
This game is annoying, with the Superior>Inferior rule from Dark Duel Stories, which means that a dark monster will allways beat a light monster. Later on in the game, opponents have stupid amounts of life points, like 10000LP and Reshef has 40000LP!!!
This game is hard, but a good tactic is to duel Tristan and get cards and sell them to get money.
This is a good game, if you like YU-GI-OH! GET THIS GAME
p.s. you have all the Egyptian Gods!

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Slight Improvement Over Last
This game has promised to be an improvement over the previous title "Sacred Cards", which had a few flaws. This included the very short storyline and not being able to use all 3 egyptian god cards. This game apparantly doesnt have this....i say apparantly because i havent been able to reach this point. Mainly because, one of the major irratations is when u start the game, like in Sacred Cards, you have extremley weak cards, and each time u battle someone, they have slightly better cards, making it hard to defeat them. Plus, this game adds the "Superior > Inferior" rules from the "Dark Duel Stories" game. This game does add more dimension to the game, this is true, but it always makes things very akward and complicated.
I will end with this suggestion...
If you played Sacred Cards, and didnt like it, dont get this...
If you played it, but have the patience, you may be able to look pass the initial flaw and may enjoy it. I of course say "may" cause i havent got to that point, im only guessing.
