Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - A 'must' for those who love working out at home!
No matter how many times I do this DVD, the result is always the same: I feel fab!
The music gets you going and the moves really make you sweat. I don't think it will ever be possible for me to look like the guys on the DVD while I'm exercising, but I have great fun trying!
Grab a friend, push back the furniture, turn the music up real loud and have the best time ever trying to get fit!

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Very disappointing
I used to do hip-hop at university, but since returning home I can't find any good clubs to continue doing it. I bought this DVD as it claims to be a 'dance' workout, and I read all the brilliant reviews and thought that this was the DVD for me. However, there is nothing remotely 'dance' about this DVD. It is merely an aerobic workout set to dance music. I did find it tiring and I could feel that it had worked afterwards. However, I didn't enjoy it at all. I had expected sexy dance moves: this is just the same 'old running on the spot, grapevine, sit ups' aerobic workout you can get anywhere.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Super Fitness Video – Exhausting, Fun and Sexy
I bought this video because I liked the ‘Call on Me’ song and video and wanted to find an exercise DVD that had great music and great moves! In many exercise videos there is hideous music that you’ve never heard before playing in the background because the makers can’t afford to get ‘proper’ songs, but on this DVD there are loads of energetic, recognisable, upbeat dance songs that really motivate you.

The instructor, Deanne Berry, has a warm style and a lovely Australian accent. She doesn’t talk you through the moves before you do them but in the long run this is best because when you’re doing the DVD for the twentieth time you don’t have to wait while every single move is explained. All the dancers are dressed in skimpy workout clothes, which is inspiring and fun to watch in a very tongue in cheek TMF / MTV kind of way. The one bloke is very sexy (in a dark and broody kind of way) and wears some funny vibrant green shorts!

The exercises are of very high quality and I’m sure you’ll see results if you practise this regularly. The sections are:

1) 10 min warm-up – very good and pretty standard for this kind of thing
2) 20 min dance section – exhausting and fun, rather like an aerobics class with dance moves thrown in (including salsa!), amazing music, some moves are hard to pick up but each time you do the DVD you get better at it which is really motivating
3) 20 min hi-energy dance section – very fast, looks good, excellent music, but I’m not fit enough to get through it yet straight after the previous section because it is so exhausting
4) 10 mins bums and tums – pretty standard, press-ups and sit-ups are a killer (and I don’t even do half of them!)
5) 15 min cool down – overlong for a cool down, but the music is very good

Overall, the DVD is fun, exhausting and sexy. I really feel good while doing it, despite the fact that I’ve never done any dancing before. This DVD is head and shoulders above the rest in terms of fun because it includes super music (my favourite tracks are Pump it Up and Call on Me) and the dancers all look like they’re having a great time. Yes, some of the moves are hard to pick up if you’re not a natural dancer (like me), but after several tries I’m now much better at it and can do 90% of them. I actually like the fact that I still have more moves to learn because it makes doing the DVD that much more interesting and it keeps me on my toes!

I recommend this DVD to people who are reasonably fit, like commercial dance music, want to really sweat, and are motivated by watching a lot of very slim dancers strut their stuff in tiny outfits (rather than annoyed).

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - pump it up
I was unsure about whether to get this dvd because the dvd cover with half- naked blondes did not really appeal to me. Also the title "Ultimate Dance workout" made me wonder how effective it would be at helping me lose weight/get fitter. However, I was really really suprised about how good this workout is. The whole thing is divided into 4 sections: Heat (warm up), Dance it out (half of this is cha cha cha-ing, half is aerobics), Pump it up (half of this is aerobics, the other half combines the warm up and cha cha cha-ing from Dance it out, and also has the eric prydz workout), a toning section of press-ups etc, and a chill-out section. The main blond woman is really good because she knows what she's talking about and has divided the DVD into manageable sections which stretch you but don't over stretch you, and runs a good commentary. I would advise getting this if your thinking of losing weight and want a very energetic workout, but if you hate dance music and get majorly depressed by half-naked women this workout probably isnt for you!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Brilliant!
I've never been a great fan of work out DVDs especially after Mr Motivator in the early 1990's. However, since my favourite dance/aerobics class finished at my gym I have been struggling to find something as fast paced as my Saturday morning classses. This, however, is almost the same work out routine as that class with the added extras of the bum and tum exercies and the really cool chill session at the end. It is fast paced but as with all routines once youv'e done it a couple of times it is easy to keep up. I have also incorporated some of the exercises into my usual gym routine especially the boxercise stuff in the hi-energy section.

This is a great workout to do at home on the days you haven't time to go to the gym!
