Video Games : Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (Xbox)

- amazing action from start to end
this game is awsome its not as good as the ps2 version but its still the same the storyline is absolutly incredible who would of thought of a guy that goes back home and his freinds betray him its brilliant!

- Great game, some missed opportunities
I enjoyed the GTA double pack very much when it came out. The reflections on the cars, the engine that looked like an engine after your hood gets blown off, the polygon count on the wheels of my PCJ600, the lighting and the overall improved smooth framerate. Rockstar improved both incarnations with equal aplomb. The drive by right analogue stick, 'click to fire' was a touch of genius.
Obviously things have changed. Firstly let's compare the visual differences between the PS2 and X-box versions.
PS2 (1) Reflections on cars. Hmm, nice shiny red paint on my cabin.
X-Box (1) what reflections? Just a flat 'plasticy' sheen.
PS2 (2) Lighting. Watch as CJ and his vehicle turn green/red/or another colour as soon as they pass a light source.
X-Box (2) What lighting? Oh yes, CJ turns different colours but any vehicle he is driving never will.
PS2 (3) Shadows. Well I never really noticed to be honest :(
X-Box (3) Finally an improvement...
PS2 (4) Polygons. Well the system is getting old now...
X-Box (4) Hang on! Is my X-Box version a PS2 in disguise? No difference whatsoever here.
The Improvements in the X-Box version (The Good).
- Dolby 5.1, again.
- Slightly improved framerate: Could blame that on the lack of both reflections and dynamic lighting though.
- I'm thinking...Oh yes, textures look slightly better.
The Bad & The Ugly
- "White, Black and all together now". Why? They could have used white to shift/caps lock the Right analogue stick to implement drive by for Pete’s sake! Hit it again and hey presto; back to normal. I just run 'em over now. Or get out 'n deagle them...
- Does anyone else think that Helicopters are harder to fly than they were in Vice City? White and Black are used for the tail rotor! That’s fiddling with a total of six different controllers compared to Vice's four.
Conclusion
Rockstar had less time on their hands this time around, but they managed to add glitches to the X-Box version visually (and I'm talking lighting and reflections) while only slightly improving the raw performance, oh and adding shadows. The game on its own merits is enjoyable, immersive, funny, violent, challenging and frustrating. Rockstar should have worked harder to cut out the frustrating.

This game is the best gta game that i have ever played, the fact that you can dress up your character to your likeness and whether you want a fat character or a muscle man for a character.
This game is A MUST BUY 5 OUT OF 5

If you want to become immersed in a game for months then this is the game for you.
It starts by drawing you into the characters, especially CJ, who you play in the game.
Initially the stories are quite simple and let you get to grips with the gameplay, which isn't difficult, but very addictive.
As you get further into the game the characters grow and the storylines become more involved and complex, plus they are real-life (all be it that of a gangster).
There are some amazing scenes of total devastation, which all adds to the gameplay.
There are little things always ongoing, such as going to the gym, getting your hair cut, which all add to the overall feel.
The actual gameplay is as simple as it needs to be, but does all it has to do.
If you only buy one game in your life, let it be this one.

you can put in a code for a jet and a pharachut and fly the jet as hie it can go and jump out and pull ur pharachut and fly I love this game. you need to rint this game realy.
