Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great Fun For all The Family
I have just bought a Wii, second time around. I bought my first one on release and loved it. The graphics are not brilliant but the gameplay is truly original. After a few months I found that more often than not I was playing with my XBOX 360 so I decided to sell it. Since then the 360 died and I bought the PS3 which is awesome but I have decided to buy another Wii for my wife & kids. They are not into gaming but they all love the ease of use that the Wii brings. My 4 year old is a star on it.
So if you want next gen graphics go for a PS3 or 360 but if you want fun for all the family go for a Wii or if your like me. Buy both.
Hope this helps.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - My arm fell off
Played bowling so much that my arm feels like its fallen off, but what a laugh.

A must for anyone who thinks that their kids might be getting a little rotund and in need of some exercise.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Wii-tastic
I have recently bought a Wii and I have to say I am very impressed with it. Yes the graphics are possibly childish and not up there with PS3 and Xbox 360s of this world but as has been said before it was not meant to compete in this way. What the Wii does it does extremely well. The Wii Sports package you get with it is great but very tiring, especially the boxing. I like the idea of training once a day with your own Mii and trying to get your training age down to 20 or as near to it as possible. Love the bowling and the baseball which are probably the two I am best at in the household. Have to say very realistic especially the bowling.
Have played a few and own a few of the games. I have to say I have been blown away with Super Mario Galaxy. Was not sure about it but when I stuck it in machine have had difficulty turning it off it is that good. Also purchased Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games which is surprisingly hard to get the hang of but good and Zack And Wiki which is innovative but not really sure if I like this or not at moment. Super Mario Galaxy and Wii Sports takes up my time at the moment.
Would like to add I also have a PS3 and I haven't touched it since I got the Wii. I agree it is great for families and having loads of friends round not so good sole player but my girlfriend is not into games but even she likes the Wii Sports and wants to get Wii Fit when out.
All in all it is great at what it does and I have no complaints I am glad I got it and if you like a console that does not take itself seriously and has a good sprinkling of 1st and 3rd party games you would do worse than purchase a Wii. Enjoy.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Great great fun but no longevity
I bought my Wii after my little brother got one and believed it was the most fun you could have. We got Super Paper Mario, Big Brain Academy, Trauma Centre & Wii Play as well as the bundled Wii Sports. For the first two weeks it was unstopable fun but past that period the fun factor began to deteriorate and boredom began to set in. It is an absolutely amazing reveloution in the way we play games at home and may be worthwhile exercise to those who don't see day light often but it is failing in longevity. My Wii motes still have their original batteries in them (and believe me this is no testiment to the strength of the batteries) and it has not been played on for the past 2 months. It is great for young children and as a family console but if you like your games you are probably best off going for the Xbox 360, which my brother a hardened Nintendo fan has now purchased and plays on more than his Wii.

Its not all bad but its definately not for everyone or for true game fans. I will be sticking with my Xbox360 from now on and until they release something truely outstanding I believe my Wii will remain unplayed.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Brilliant fun and a bright future
Having tried my daughter's Wii, I decided to buy one too as it was so much fun! Unfortunately I tried to buy one when everyone else did too - but I didn't want to pay ££££ so I waited until Amazon had them back in stock at their original price of £179.97 and snapped one up - their option of next day delivery meant I was up and running at the start of the weekend and I haven't stopped! It's super easy to set up, super easy to get started and there are lots things as add-ons which I didn't know about before, like the easy-set-up wireless connection for the internet(if you already have wireless it's very simple to connect the Wii). The Wii Sports which came with the console is a great starter package and some of the games and packages due for release this year will make it even more fun. Only one socket needed to plug in and you're off - highly recommended by a 50+ granny!
