Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - i'm having a wii!
i didn't think the wii was going to be that good as all my friends had one and they said they all got bored of it easily. i also thought it would be hard to control seeing as it was wireless.

my sister kept talking about it as she there is a wii at the gym where you can play the sports games. she really wanted one but i wasn't too bothered as i knew they were all sold out anyway and there was no chance of getting one, even if i did really want one.

on christmas day i was suprised when i got a wii. i saw my sister and mum play tennis together and thought it looked really fun, i went on it and it is.

the remote is really easy to use and doesn't take very long to get used to. there is also a great variety of games to choose from.

i've had it since christmas and have probably been playing it a few hours everday since! it's great!

on christmas i got mario party 8, which is great as there are a load of mini games and a big board game which up to four players at a time can play against each other on.

i also got wii sports, which is really great as i feel like i am actually playing the sport. there is training, a test which tells you your fitness age - at first mine was 80 now it's down to 50, there is tennis, bowling, golf, baseball which is a bit of a disapointing as there is not much to it and i have never actually played it before, and boxing which is great to watch other people play as they make the most wierdest faces ever.

i also got mario paper which i haven't really played on it much, but it is great.

there is also another wierd game which i haven't played on but my dad and sister have a few times.

me and my sister after christmas also brought my sims, which can get a little boring sometimes especially if it's my sisters turn and i just have to sit and watch. it's great because your sim arrives at a town which is reallt rubbish, but you have to build it's reputation by building peoples houses, finding essences, maiking furniture and getting more stars for the town by doing tasks for residents around the town, so that more people will want to either visit or move in.

there are also a lot more games which i am hoping to buy or maybe get for my birthday.

overall, the wii is great!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Can gaming be any better?
The Wii is simply AMAZING!!!!! Better than any console ever made including the gamecube ps2 ps3 xbox 360 and so many more!!!!!! And sony made the ps3 have tilt so everyone would want the ps3.... enough about that.
I don't know how to explain it... it's just so gooooooooooooooooooooooooodddddddddddd!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'll tell you some of the good bits... first of all you don't just play games you also enter competitions with The mii contest channel. Well you might want to know about Mii's they are characters personalised by yourself! And how do you do that well on the Mii channel! oh yeah and these channels are just on your main menu there are lots of them at times you'll get messages from nintendo asking you if you want download another channel... or upgrage the one you have already... i'll tell you about "The wii shop channel" this is where you can download new channels for free... oh yeah and if you buy a wii points card and if want to play N64 games on it then buy a classic controller and with the wii points card you can buy vintage games. They can cost 500 points to 1200 points each. When i say vintage i mean nintendo 64 games, neo geo games, nintendo entertainment system games, Super nintendo entertainment system games, turbografix games and sega mega drive games. You'll get 2000 points per card. and there's the internet channel which you can all guess what that does.... well ... nuff said

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - The revolution has come and not a moment to soon.
Ok here we go the Wii is brilliant we all know that already, so i am not going into great detail about it as a piece of hardware just read the other 200 so glowing reviews for that, recently in the last five years or so the games market was stagnant with the games it was releasing, now i know some people will say ''there has been lots of good games in the last five years'', that may be true but most worked on the same principle as every other game before it, now again some would say ''i like that'' really you like playing games that played the same as ten years ago with graphical updates, you see this is where the real gamers come in they appreciate innovation trying new things and not being afraid to be laughed at for and idea remember the ds pre launch ''Touch screen for games you're joking right'' look who is laughing now. This is why i like Nintendo not scared to do something different and as a result you get some really artistically brilliant pieces of gaming Mario,Zelda,Metroid the list goes on Nintendo real games for real gamers and none gamers alike.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Wii + Wii Sports
First off, if you are a serious gamer then dont buy a Wii, buy an Xbox or PS3, for the extra money you have superior graphics and gameplay and there are loads more games available than there is for the Wii. However, if like me, you are not into spending every night playing video games and just want something that is fun, easy to use and good for more than one person to play, then i'd say buy a Wii!

I bought the console from amazon for 179.98 and also bought wii play (mainly for the extra remote, which is a must!) The actual console itself is small (same size as my Sopranos series 6 box set) which is great as it takes up very little space and is easy to set up. The wii sports which come with the console are highly addictive, the bowling and tennis are a hit with my wife and ive spent hours on the golf and boxing! although they are essentially mini games so are limited in the number of matches / holes / levels you can play.

Overall i have to say i am surprised at how much fun it is playing the wii as i had heard many different opinions (mostly from people with Xboxes or playstations though!). If you are looking for something to keep you busy on the odd evening or something that you and your mates or partner can play then id recommend getting one.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Always Nintendo!!!
Nintendo... Why is it so easy to stick to Nintendo? Why do I prefer it to the XBOX or a PS3?

Read below to find out why.

Price:
More or less 200 pounds compared to the PS3 which costs twice as much (and needs a HD tv for optimal performance) and an XBOX which has never attracted me due to its unknown games and their short life in the console industry (this is more subjective though).

Gameplay:
I'm sick of holding wired remotes of the same shape & size whist sat down. The wii has given me a chance to INTERACT with the console, to tell it where I want to go by pointing at it and by shaking the remote and/or nunchuck. It responds to these commands by vibrating, letting you know it's there and understands. It feels alive!

Realism:
A swing of golf has never been so real! Whereas before the wii it used to be done by pushing a mouse or pressing a button, the wii requires you to stand up and swing the remote as if it was a golf club! On top of that, it is accurate and extremely fun!!! Same applies for all wii sports games and other games i have tried!!

Download Classic Games from other consoles!!!!
unbelievable: you can download games fromm the NES, SNES, N64, Sega megadrive and other consoles! This is unbeatable. Imagine playing with 3 of your friends at a wii game and then deciding it's time to play some mario kart 64! well, Nintendo gives me this option.

Little extras:
you get a forecast channel which tells you the current weather & temperature and the forecast, you get the option to surf the web, you get the Mii channel (absolute genius) where you can "make your own mii" - a character you can use in mulitplayer games, especially on wii sports!

YOU EXERCISE!!!:
Whoever says the exercise on the wii is overrated, it is clear he/she has not played BOXING on wii sports in multiplayer mode! I ended up sweating and with cramps! BRILLIANT!!!

social aspect of multiplayer games:
you get into it, you get competitive, you play, you look ridiculous by trying hard, and so does everyone else!!! It is an awesome console, too enjoyable not to have one, and very affordable compared to the PS3 and XBOX 360! On top of that, EVERYONE can play, because it is easy and realistic!

Thank you Nintendo!
