- Wii, wii, wii all the way home
An excellent purchase and well worth getting.
People will argue that the XBox360 and PS3 have much better graphics, and they do, but the Wii gives you much more fun. It has excellent games like Mario Galazy, Zelda: Twilight Princess and Metriod Prime 3. All these games are amazing and reinvent gaming. The vitual console, available online, is also a joy and will open up an opportunity to play amazing games from the past. I can't find fault with this purchase at all. The WiiRemotes are almost second nature after an hour or two but just make sure you have a lot of AA batteries though as they tend not to last too long. Nintendo don't provide a charger with rechargable batteries, although they should, and this has been my only draw back so far.
An superb console at a reasonable price.

Well, having waited 1 year for this it better have been good! But boy did it blow me away!
Considering it has the "rubbish" graphics they are brilliant! Even on an old SD TV they are vivid and colorful!
The games are great - Wii Sports is a right challenge. The picture and video capabilities are great too! It can also play MP3s!
The Gamecube backward compatibility is great too!
This is a must buy, but beware - I waited 3hrs on here one night and was lucky to get one of the bunch that sold out in 50secs!!!!

i have been tring for weeks to get a wii i keeped checking websites after a while i use a website thta was updated every 60sec and i found that amazon had them but everytime i had nearly ordered it it was gone but after lots of tring i manged to order one and it was delvired within 3 days
so just keep tring

Firstly, to people who dont understand websites, when it shows the price of £279.00 this is other sites selling at this price, not Amazon. I feel Amazon adjust there price accordongly and if anything are 90% cheaper than anywhere else. Trust me I have brought 100's of stuff from Amazon. Anyway, no one can touch Amazon support they are always supportive and resolve your problems immediately.
Anyway, the wii is a great piece of hardware and that is all you need to know. If you ever play one game on this machine make sure it's mario galaxy as it's a wonderful game, you'll play this game till you fall asleep.
I just brought the wii for this 1 game and I've been playing it all night.

I had given up hope this Christmas......Nintendo Wii's are out of stock everywhere!!! Until I received a message saying that Amazon had them in stock. And not only did they have them, they were selling them for £179.99! not the rip-off prices that most people are selling them for.I couldn't believe my eyes, so ordered one as quickly as possible and received a confirmation straight away. I ordered on Friday and to my amazement, it arrived first thing Saturday morning! Thank you so much Amazon for brilliant and speedy service. Christmas in my house will now be a happy one thanks to you!!!
