Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great-if in doubt, buy.
Looking at all the other revews, I can only agree with them about this fantastic set of headphones. As has been mentioned in previous reviews, the headphones are built very well, and the cradle design design is useful for putting them away quickly.

The price to pay for this incredibly useful wireless technology is (ironically) a huge amount of wire clutter. There is the input 3.5mm cable and a mains cable, which look very ugly, and the input cable is unecessarily long.

Outside noise is isolated very well, and the headphones are very comfortable. One small problem is that after wearing the headphones for more than 10 minutes, the foam earcups heat up, and your ears get annoyingly. Please, Sennheiser, if you're reading this, make leatherette pads. This is a very small design flaw that gets extremely irritating when listening to music for longish periods of time or watching a film.

And of course, I have to mention the sound quality. It is excellent for a device which uses RF (radio frequency). At the very worst, I can hear a very faint hint of white noise, which I cannot pick up once music plays. The sound deteriorates as you move further away from the transmitter. On that note, Sennheiser claim the range of the headphones to be between 100 and 150 metres. In a perfectly flat field, this figure seems quite plausible. But in the home, I was only achieve 30 metres. Walls and ceilings got in the way, and the sound quality became unacceptable.

Really, I want to give this product 4 and a half stars. It is very good, but there are a few tiny niggles, like the foam ear cups. Overall, I think its so good I don't notice the freedom it gives me. Who needs wires?

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Well built and great performance
I have an LCD TV in the bedroom and have always been nervous that insomniac-children (mine!) trip over the headphone cable that was snaking its way across the bedroom and pull the TV onto the floor. Sounds a silly reason to buy these headphones but that is my unashamed reason and I am glad I did. These headphones have the high build quality that you expect from Sennheiser and perform very well.

Sound quality is excellent FOR WIRELESS. I am convinced that with FM wireless there will be some compromise on sound quality but really, I would be hard pressed to find it. Turn the source volume quite high and the headphone volume low and you will have the best sound quality. There is a feature on the base station that will let youy know if the source volume is too high so you cannot go wrong.

The only real criticism I can find is the Surround Sound feature. When connected to my Philips LCD TV the Surround Sound feature brought all the background noise to the front making dialogue very difficult to hear. I prefer this turned off.

The cradle at first glance looks too delicate but in fact is very easy to use, the charging contacts make connection without any fiddling around at all and a red LED light tells you that the charging connection has been made.

I am very glad I bought them, I can now relax in bed with the TV on, top quality sound and no cables in sight. Marvellous.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Good Quality
Very pleased with headphones but disappointed that when I visited Hughes Direct website (i.e. Amazons suppliers )I could have purchased cheaper direct from Hughes.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - They serve their purpose.
When writing this review, I was deciding wether to give them 3 or 4 stars. Yes, they serve their purpose and it is a good product, but I would expect a set of £60 headphones to sound alot better than a pair of £30 headphones I have. They don't.

I have a pair of sennheiser PX 100's. Yes they are wired but they shouldn't sound better, but they do. The bass that these headphones give off is less than satisfactory. Also, everyone else can hear what you're listening to. Also the PX 100's arn't the size of space ships on either ear. As well as that, I can get about 20 metres away from the transmitter before the sound begins to break up. 150 metres, are they mad? The surround sound function is rubbish. All it does is amplify the background noise. Yes, it's like the sound is coming from behind you but you can't hear what's going on it the main tune or on the tv program if that's turned on.

Having said those negative things about these headphones, they are exeptionally comfortable. When you're wearing them, you can hardly feel them on your head. It's good the way that you simply have to place them on the transmitter to get them charging. As well as that, it's wireless so you're not tripping over wires all the time! You can walk around with no wires.

My verdict on these headphones is that they are a novelty to have. I disagree with the reviews that state they ar good sound quality because I don't think they are particulaly, however they are listenable. If these were wired headphones, they would recieve 2 or 3 stars on the basis hat the sound quality is naff.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Good sound, good range - a good long-term buy (I hope).
These were my first wireless headphones and I am not disappointed. I noted that these were a 'Which' best buy, although they don't rate any wireless headphones as good as the best wired types. To me they are fine with a good range. Instructions adequate, but could be improved. Like some reports of other wireless headphones, initial sound quality was awful, and playing around with volume settings on stereo and headphones, and tuning button on headphones, was needed to ensure good sound. However after initial setup, no problems. Volume control and tuning button on headphones are too close together really, making it all to easy to adjust wrong one, but this is a minor criticism. Note that initial charging up takes 16 hours so I could not use them until Boxing Day - annoying for the impatient! Otherwise charging through the storage cradle works well, although have to check contacts are good, and red light is on. A real boon for me is being able to listen to my old vinyl LPs anywhere in the house. Like most record decks, mine is not readily portable, so I could only listen to LPs in one room. Now with the wireless headphones I can listen anywhere in the house or garden, and am again listening to LPs not listened to for years. I recognise that this is irrelevant to younger (post-vinyl) people but if you are of the vinyl-age (or thinking of buying these headphones for someone in that category) it is a real bonus. It is a bonus for any wireless headphones of course, but these RS130's do seem to have a good range which is obviously important. Good value. Recommended.
