Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Good sound, good range - a good long-term buy (I hope).
These were my first wireless headphones and I am not disappointed. I noted that these were a 'Which' best buy, although they don't rate any wireless headphones as good as the best wired types. To me they are fine with a good range. Instructions adequate, but could be improved. Like some reports of other wireless headphones, initial sound quality was awful, and playing around with volume settings on stereo and headphones, and tuning button on headphones, was needed to ensure good sound. However after initial setup, no problems. Volume control and tuning button on headphones are too close together really, making it all to easy to adjust wrong one, but this is a minor criticism. Note that initial charging up takes 16 hours so I could not use them until Boxing Day - annoying for the impatient! Otherwise charging through the storage cradle works well, although have to check contacts are good, and red light is on. A real boon for me is being able to listen to my old vinyl LPs anywhere in the house. Like most record decks, mine is not readily portable, so I could only listen to LPs in one room. Now with the wireless headphones I can listen anywhere in the house or garden, and am again listening to LPs not listened to for years. I recognise that this is irrelevant to younger (post-vinyl) people but if you are of the vinyl-age (or thinking of buying these headphones for someone in that category) it is a real bonus. It is a bonus for any wireless headphones of course, but these RS130's do seem to have a good range which is obviously important. Good value. Recommended.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Senneiser does it for me again!
Well they arrived with a big smile on my face..I had previously owned an older version of these headphones that sadly decided they only wanted to work in mono, so i thought i'd do my research and decide on another pair after going a couple of years without. The sound quality is great for wireless, the notes are detailed within range but do tend to fade depending on how many walls and how far you stray.

I'm an audiophile and love listening to music, films and general tv, however my wife is not, so these headphones have made a big part of making sure we can go to bed together, she sleeps comfortably with me still listening to the TV or other audio source.

If you love music, want an affordable and quality pair of 'freedom' headphones then these are for you. But dont listen to me......Do your research.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Sennheiser RS130 - Wireless Headphones
I have been using these phones for a couple of months. The sound is great and I have found no problems when wandering in or out of the house.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Worth buying BUT...
This is not an easy thing to evaluate. I have had none of the prior reviewers problems with distance. I can walk around my garden while the source is in my bedroom. Works great.
However on compression formats such as MD and DVD there can sometimes be the problem of crashing into distortion. So I thought the batteries needed recharging. But no once I tried playing a VINYL LP the sound was/is stunning real audiophile stuff. So it is not the headphones that causes the distortion crash but compression digital formats. My analogue source has never experienced the problem because analogue has the frequency and dynamic range to feed the headphones the kind of quality it requires. That said providing one keeps the headphone volume lower than the source amp digital formats work fine most of the time.

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Not bad but not good
Can't get a decent volume out of these, but they are OK at low to moderate volume - any higher and they distort badly. Also, they only work well in the same room as the sound source - in the next room, and certainly the room beyond, they hiss and even cut out. So my idea of having a good blast of the Cosmic Rough Riders whilst doing the washing up in the kitchen was sadly not to be. Listening to quiet acoustic music in another room is not possible because of the hiss. I understand this is a known problem with wireless headphones that use RF (radio frequency) as these do, the alternative being IF (infra red), but these require line-of-sight of the base station with the phones, so I definitely couldn't go in the kitchen. I'm still searching for a decent pair of wireless phones, therefore, and I'll pay good money!
