I am a bit of a technaphobe and bought this based on the reviews. It has really done the job it needed to and I am more than happy with it. I have no issues with the sound quality at all without the headset (as some people commented), I have found the buttons really simple to use and it looks really smart. Maybe if I had been a bit more techno savvy I would have found fault with it but as far as I am concerned this is a really good product.

Its noisy as everyone else has already said, however, you get used to it. My only gripe is the power cable. I travel alot in Europe, but the plug is not one of these interchangeable plugs that allows you to change between UK and European connections. Most modern travel products come with a useful connector, e.g. the iPod. So I have to resort to this monstrous adaptor, and the travel case is small enough without having to include anything else, including movies.
Rating: - 12 months on - and still very happy
Have had for over a year and still very happy with it (although we don't use it that often). Only negative is the lack of decent instructions for fitting the carry case to the car.

Initially very pleased with appearance, feel and description. Popped dvd in played no problem, sound was fine, dvd player a bit noisy, tft screen nice and crisp. For all of 5 minutes. TFT screen picture changed to a sort of grey/white screen would appear to have burnt itself out. Took dvd out, turned off and left for 10 minutes, turned back on- same screen appears no start up screen at all just a grey/white screen. Good eh.
Given all the talk about conserving the earth's resources, carbon footprint etc- given the amount of time this player lasted probably worse than a return flight to USA!!!
Yet more poor quality goods imported from far east. Do these people know what quality control is? NO THEY DO NOT!
Now I have aggravation of sending back.
Personally I would like to give this negative stars and can not see any point in risking a replacement. I would not recommend this at all.
Positive point- Amazon were absolutely excellent no problem with return or refund. Many thanks Amazon.

I've always bought Sony so it was a surprise to even consider this.
Playing DVD: on start up there is a loud whirring noise from the motor (vibration?), but this soon subsides when the DVD starts playing the film. However it does re-appear when you skip or play the next track. Annoying so 1 star marked down (and a common-ish problem I see)
Quality: Not in the same league as Sony or Phillips, but the inclusion of an SD card reader makes up for this. Picture quality is average. But not marked down because unit is small and battery lasts ages.
TV output: As above and this is where they have skimped in my opinion. Having the output is great when I get to my holiday destination though. But the quality is no way near DVD quality. Shame
Summary: Ok, but something in the back of my mind says I should have spent a few more quid and gone for something like a Sony, but .. money is tight so this is the best at the price.
