I really hated M$ until I played on the xBox 360. The controller is really comfortable and IMO the best product Microsoft has ever created.

Even though its not as inventive as the wii remote, it is very confortable to hold, and has a brilliant range. The rumble is quite powerfull, and the fact that headphones ect plug into it saves alot of wires.

I don't really know how to rate the 'fun' aspect of this controller, I gave it 3 because I've never had any problems with my controller and if I had problems then I would give it less, but anyway, 3 will do!
I'm gonna rate this controller on a few aspects that I think are necessary, so here goes:
Comfort: As far as holding a controller goes, this controller is the most comfortable I have ever used. Its ergonomic design couldn't have been done better in my opinion! For people with larger or smaller hands the controller compensates in its curves to allow use for everyone. Kudos to Microsofts R&D team for this.
Ease of Use: The buttons are just in the right places, and have a great feel to them. Also to note, the analoque joysticks are perfect, the surface is dented and small grips have been placed in them for complete ease of use. Easily another 5/5 rating for this part.
Battery Life: I can't measure this in specifics for you guys, especially as it depends which batteries you use. My recommendation would be to buy a set of 2800mah rechargeable AA batteries and a charger, this will give you the best cost/use ratio. Generally though, for being wireless the battery life is consistently long enough!
Durability: This thing is tough, I've dropped mine countless times and faithfully it always works. Microsoft have made this controller so that nothing can drop off or break easily, save for the attachable headset (which breaks almost too easily)
Features/Alternate uses: No motion sensing? I don't really see this as a problem, but I know some people will. Also, the ability to add a headset to it is useful, although it does tether you to the controller. I'd prefer a bluetooth headset. Using the controller for movies is ok, it isn't ideal of course but it does the job.
Cost: Yes, it's a little pricey I suppose, but for the benefits of having a wireless controller, and even just the benefit of having a second one to multiplay with mates, it easily pays for itself!
Conclusion: Obviously, I don't expect this review to be the 'be all and end all' of reviews but I hope it aids as many of you as it needs to. I do rate this controller very highly, and I do believe that if you need one or are just looking for a wireless controller for yourself or for multiplayer then it's really worth it. Enjoy!

This is easily the best controller. i've used N64, Playstation (all of them cos their the same control, sort your life out Sony!) Gamecube, Xbox, Wii and none of them are like this. It's built solid, feels sturdy and the buttons are where you want them to be. Being previous Xbox owner, i was a bit cheesed that black & white are now buffers but once i started playing a game i didnt really care. the reason i like this control is course it feels as though it won't break like previous controls have done in the past. and when Wii or PS3 fanboys say 'but it hasn't got motion sensors', so what? the 360 it's that type of console (neithers the PS3 really but hey how). but what the control does have over the PS3 is rumble. I have no idea what it must feel like without rumble now, whats it like PS3 fanboys? this control also fits nicely into your hand. i have normal sized hands so it doesn't make a different, but one of my friends has big hands and he finds the control fine to use, has no problems with it at all.
So if you've brought yourself a core 360, them you need one of these bad boys. if you brought a premium like me, you need another one, and if you brought an elite tehn get yourself a black one.

It's simple........if you have to play with a wireless control pad, and have the ability to relax in an arm chair without wires knocking over your cup of tea...then your already willing to pay to have this control pad. Yes you have to pay for extra accessories if you want to charge and play or charge fast, but thats far far better than buying a lifetime supply of AA batteries would you not agree?
Some people would moan that it's very expensive to play wirelessly, and that they don't want to play a game from their friends house four doors away.....but ask yourself, why did they buy the wireless control pad in the first place?
If you prefer to play it cheaper and you can sit within a couple of metres of your console.....get a pad with wires, you'll be fine.
This is great for what it does, and it's a very small cost when compared to how much those batteries will cost
