The reason why for fun it is one star is because you dont play the control pad, just the games. Its definately gotten lighter than the other xbox official wired controller, and it looks better too. Well to be honest i dont have problems with any controller, the way it is layed out or the size of it. i found the other xbox controller comfortable too. Well this controller saves a lot of space in the gaming area since it has no wires, and it is automatically wired up to any xbox 360, all you have to do is press some button on the controller and the 360 and ,theere you have it, its set up. Batterys last for 40 hours, two extra buttons have been added on the top right (LB and RB instead of R2 and L2 for the PS2 and PS3).
I think this controller is easy to set up, lightweight and simple to use, but my only problem is that it is so expensive(mind you that i got one free with my xbox 360 and bought another one for £32.00). Once the price reduces then it is a perfect opportunity to take full advantage of this controller.

The one good thing about the xbox 360 is the wireless controller! but when you run out of duracell it's over!

I used to be a strict playstation fan and hated my mates xbox controller.
When the ps3 was released i decieded to turn to the dark side and get an xbox 360 due to the ps3's ridiculous price. It only took me a couple of days to get used to the xbox controller and now i couldnt go back.
The wireless feature is superb. If you are a slob like me and you play your games when your in bed its great. When my eyes are just starting to open after a good nights sleep and my first coherent thought of the day is to switch on the console i rummage around under the covers(no!... not that) and find the controller from last nights gaming and press the big round button which fires up the console, within a minute your game has probably loaded up and your off just as your blinking the last of the sleep from your eyes.
The wireless signal is great with no interruptions. The battery normaly lasts me 2 weeks, at which point the little lights on the controller start warning you that power is low, it can do this for around a day, then when i go to sleep or go out i put it on charge with a charge and play kit. Within a few hours the battery is at full again.
My wired ps2 cont' used to irritate me loads with the wire getting trapped on the duvet etc

Technology changes by the age and so does items and consoles as well. This XBox 360 Wireless Controller is a big example. No more wires, no more cables and no more interference as you play wirelessly. All you have to do is push down the large X button and then the control becomes activated without going back and forth; shoving in extras attachments to the console!
Unlike the original XBox Controllers, the XBox 360 Controller is slightly smaller, but is more flexible for play! It features the same buttons as the XBox Controller did, but it also has 3 new features...
1. The Black And White Buttons do not exist on the XBox 360 Controller. The LB button and the RB button instead replace it, these are located on the top left and right side of the controller!
2. A large X Button is featured in the middle of the controller, pressing this will show up a small menu which allows you to select certain options from the XBox 360 Dashboard sequence. You can use this to check your online status, your downloads, achievements and even exit what your playing and return to the Dashboard. You can even perform this action while playing games too!
3. The Start And Back Button is in the middle of the controller, rather than futher downwards. They are placed in between the large X Button!
The controller has a disadvantage. It uses AA Batteries and unlike your Game Boy's, which don't waste the juice easily on the batteries, the XBox 360 Controllers take a whole lot of juice out of the batteries. They unfortunately don't even last a full 24 hours. The prices for the controls are also dear too!
My Grade For The Controller: 8.5/10: Excellent, Wonderful, Good One
My Wish: A longer battery life on the controller, the batteries don't seem to last very long and it's annoying that you have to get brand new batteries each time when they run out. Plus I wish the price of these controllers were reduced as well!
Final Comments: I've seen better and worse controllers than this. But if you have the cash and the console, I recommend you take the opportunity of supplying yourself with a few of these. You don't want a few friends knocking over the console with a load of wired controllers!

When I received it in the core version of the Xbox 360 I thought it wasn't supposed to be in there, but it is awesome. One thing though - when I took it out i thought there was a receiver which plugs into the controller slot and i spent (seriously) over 2 hours looking for something that didn't exist.
One of the best parts about it is that you can switch on the console from a position over 20 ft away and come back to the console with it already running. Well, i certainly think that's pretty cool anyway!
I would recommend getting a recharger for this item too, because otherwise you'll be running through loads of normal batteries (that said, it still runs for about 40 hours on 1 set anyway).
Fantastic buy, well worth this great price!
