Electronics : Sony RM-NWS1 Remote Control for NWA1000 / NWA3000 MP3 Players

- NWA-3000 remote control
first of all i would like to say that this little gadget is a god send, very handy for when im out and about in town, as sometimes i feel a bit nervous about showing my Sony NWA-3000 in public since not many people have them and they look so flash.
the remote itself is very stylish, and has a number of functions that work perfectly for my liking, i couldnt ask for any more.
the remote is a cool silver stylish color that has an almost crocotyle clip to atttcah to ur coat or shirt. the remote itself has one joystick type button that has a play/pause function (accessed by pushing down on it), as well as previous/next button(accessed by pusing down for previous song/up for next song). also if the previous/next buttons are held in, it fast forwards/rewinds the playing track, similary holding down of the pause/play button will add the current playing track to a bookmark. and if the current track is paused, holding down the same button will turn of the player.
there is also a volume control button on the remote, as well as a hold button, to stop any buttons from being used accidently.

This item is essential as far as i'm concerned - but it's over priced for the build quality. In the picture it looks like its made of brushed stainless steel - imagine my horror to find that ist actually cheap shiny plastic...
however it is lightweight and well designed and makes listening to the walkman on the move that much more easy.
I think that Sony should provide one of this quality with the walkman and if we are expected to pay extra i'd expect more. It's a shame its the only option out there at the moment.

I purchased two of the Silver couloured NWA 3000 HDD Walkmans. Certainly the devices look wonderful; but the CONNECT software is attrociuos. Apart from being very slow, it also freezes, I have yet to be able to transfer any songs from my music library. I then downloaded the SonicStage player for Connect, and was able to transfer some of my Library, but this also crashes, a message comes up on the walkman to tell you to 'use compliant software' when using SonicStage. One of my Walkmans became corrupted and I have had to return the item today. The volume of the NWA3000 is adequate, but not as loud as some would pefer.
