Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Oblivion-the possibilities are endless...
Oblivion takes the player back to the medieval times, complemented with such realism, the environment is visually breathtaking, from a silver spoon to the fire fuelled demonic portals, you have the chance to explore these beautiful environments, even customising your character, reveals the deep depth of detail that swamps the game, the gameplay is equally as impressive with the choice to switch from first person to third, sometimes the sensational scenery can effect the gameplay e.g. sometimes frequent glitches but the vastness of the game easily forgives this minor fault, there is plenty of replay value here as to complete the game you have to do various missions but that is just the beggining, you interpret the game to your choice e.g.commit crime and go to prison, every move you make has consequence, makes the GTA series look like your backyard, never has computer gameplay had such a reflection on reality!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - oblivion
I have a little experience of this as i have succesfully completed the main quest and alot of other quests and have unlocked all the achevments. To put it bluntly i like this game...alot not only is there amazing and life like graphics but the game play is incredible also to get quests is so life like and simple 1)go up to two people and listen to there conversation listen to all of it sometimes it will be idle chatter but often it gives you info which you can then ask them about that leads to a quest.TO SUM IT UP I LOVE THIS GAME***********

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - amazing game
this game is fantastic and is only let down by a few minor bugs and if im being picky some areas which i didnt like.

the graphics are top notch and the game is so open that completing the main quest is often left till you have completed a lot of the side missions of which there are literally hundreds. its a truly fantastic game, far far superior to all the other xbox games i own and massively better than gears of war.

the only flaws are that once you have advanced a long way into the game i seemed to get occasional sound errors where a voice would fail to load then the game would crash saying the disk was unreadable or scratched. also your character has about 25 different skills which you can advance up to level 100. after you have advanced a certain number of points your characters total skill level increases as well from level 1 at which you start out at. however some of these are far harder to advance than others plus you can gain teaching from in world characters to help you advance 5 points, but you can only do this once per level. the problem is the early level increases come thick and fast but you are often too poor to buy lessons and find yourself advancing levels easily but not buying any lessons, by the time your level is quite high however, it takes a long long time to get the next character level and although you now have the money to buy as many lessons as you want you can still only get 5 points per level.

also make sure you have 2 active save slots operational at all times as autosave can sometimes save when you really really dont want it to and there is no way of reverting back to the earlier save if you havent manually saved it.

another flaw in my eyes is magic, as i compelted this first and rarely used any magic whatsoever other than heal, concentrating on weapons to kill enemies, but even as you advance through the magic school your magic skills dont increase, so now i am in the ridiculous position where having completeed all the side missions for the magic guild i am the head magician in the whole organisation but i can still only cast very simple spells as my level is so slow.

i also dont really understand the point of light armour as the damage you take is far higher than in heavy armour and if you use heavy often your skill increases anyway so you become more obile in it, plus facing the later enemies means the damage inflicted in light rather than heavy armour is huge.

also i found a bug where i can get the reward from the count of skingrad for finding a cure for vampirism over and over again, so whereas before i was relying on treasure and selling the weapons and armour of vanquished enemies to raise cash, now i just claimed the reward a few dozens times and have over a million gold pieces which could probably buy the whole country several times over

these are mainly specific flaws that you will only notice after plsying it soliody for a long time like i have. this is a truly fantastic game and i cannot reccomend it highly enough, i think any problems are purely down to the 512mb of xbox memory as on the pc this game requires 1 gig plus.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Best 360 game ever? Probably....
This game is a silky smooth evocation of a fantasy world which totally sucks you in. My favourite 360 game to date was Dead Rising (keep your unoriginal and boring shooters!)but no more. These games are the future of video gaming: smart and intelligent with hundreds of possibilities. Free to roam wherever, this feels more like how a next gen game should be, no linear format. The plot is strong with plenty of side missions to keep you doing some 'overtime'. Graphics are exceptional and you may find yourself just enjoying the views. Gameplay is gripping and tricky to master (for me anyway!).

Any criticisms? Not really, loading times are a minor quibble and the occasional 'loading area' message to distract you doesn't detract too much.
Buy this game and say goodbye to your spare time.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Hooked!!
this game is addictive. once you've got out of jail, this game is awesome. i had no idea what oblivion would be like. i got it with my xbox360 in a package deal just a week ago and decided to give it a go and if i didnt like it sell it but this game aint going nowhere. Its graphics are amazing we first tried my xbox on the tv downstairs(non HD)and that was pretty impressive and then we put it upstairs on my HD tv and WOW! This game is a typical RPG(fight and use magic to save the world) BUT its definatly, if not the best, one of the best RPG's i've ever played.
