This game is really really fun and not at all stressful (you can change the difficulty level). You can save then go rampage through towns on a killing spree and then reload again. You don't have to spend hours levelling up a character just to get past a point (although it helps if you want cooler armour) because the enemies are level based.
The possibilities of the game are endless. You can basically do whatever you want, whenever you want. You can also customize yourself. The gameplay itself is easy and fun with an excellent tutorial basically describing the game. (A little help from the manual would help for deciding race etc.) You can choose to do the missions or not to do the missions. You can join clans or factions or just wreak havoc in the city. If you like RPGs then this is the game for you (especially if you're a Fable fan)

i can't believe how real this game is. as i was becoming arena champion i won my first match and thought "i've just ended someones life". i cudn't believe it i made a pixelated image fall to the ground and i felt like i had taken a soul i can't believe it. so ican't wait to play HD

i bought the xbox 360 elite at christmas and was advised to get oblivion as its like a medievil GTA,
i now have played 47hr and cant not leave this game alone its the best the loading screen ok is alittle long
but not 2min at max 50sec which if you cant wait even, if it was 2min then you must go crazy when your at alton towers
waiting 30min-1hr for a ride. anyway this game is at best
1)massive map to explore
2)quest are indepth with story and can be short or a long quest
3)can create your character and choose your powers which you level up after your skills increase
4)tons of differant weapons to choose from swords,axe,bow,dagger,staff also you can create weapons with magic
for mass effect.

dont get me wrong i love gtA and will buy the new one when its out, but heres the download
if you want a game with tons of blood, getting guns to blast the crap out of things with short
missions, smaller (then oblivion) map but get fast cars and have funky stuts go for and stick
to GTA
oblivion is like GTA except medievil time,bigger map, indepth story line, longer missions,and more of a role
play game.
as for glitches nearly all games have glitches its just one of the things that come with it but on the xbox and pc
you can download patches for free to stop stuff like this.
my last advice is as this is a long game if you only play it for an hour you may not get alot done at least 2-3hours
would be at best, also when you start it may be a bit slow at start but take your time and it gets much better.
if your still not sure rent the game for £3.50, borrow a friends or dowbload and keep for a week
and then you can see what its like and if you dont it's only cost you £3.50 at max thats what i do with games
borrow or rent best idea.

the backdrops of this game are beautiful and the gameplay seems endless which is what makes an awesome rpg, just like final fantasy or fable BUT the reason im giving it 1 star is because the character movements are terrible, the way the character fights is useless, you cant get away with anything in the game because you have guards on your back instantly and iv never come across a game that loads every few steps you take, you'll spend more time loading than you do playing. no matter how beautiful the landscape may be, if the character movements are bad and gameplay terrible its a waste of money. seriously, save your money and wait for Fable 2. Fable 1 in my opinion was 100 times better

...Well almost, because of its nature it leaves you wanting more and more even though it has hundreds of hours worth of gameplay. The world which you are free to explore is emmense the graphics are in my opinion the best of the games around when it was released and still in the top 10 games graphically today.
The elders scrolls series has a huge fan base and has one of the best and most active forums i have ever used, so you will never be stuck on a quest for long.
A must have game for everyone, this game breaks RPG boundaries creating a game that even casual users can find entertaining. Although people who only like fast paced first person shooters might get bored in the tutorial stage I ask you to give the game time. Avid fans of Morrowind will always find faults with it because they don't want to like the game more than the previous Elders scrolls game. But if you have an open mind you will like this game if you have a good imagination this game can last forever, or at least until the next installment in the ES series (5-7 years or more at a guess).
In summary buy the game, especially as it is at a very cheap price (at time of writing around £18) for the amount of content this game offers.
