Microsoft do not inform you that this game can freeze certain xbox 360 consoles and if you are out of warrenty it will cost you £80 to repair it.
They say they are currently looking for a download to solve the problem. but in the meantime there are lots of consoles breaking and there is not a thing they will do for you.
I feel that warnings should be issued before you purchase it.
so at the moment I am £120. down as I have a console to be fixed and a game that cannot be used.

i noticed a previous comment mentioning an error with the disk, this is usualy due to your xbox standing up straight and being knocked, this happened to my game at a lan party and i also had to buy a new game. the game itself is amazing however. i have played alot of fps and 3rd person shoot em ups but this is in a completely different league. the graphics are astonishing, the controls are perfect and the locust are orrible! =P the only thing this game is lacking in my opinion is a few more weapons perhaps. the online is also fantastic, theres nothing quite like curb stomping one of your mates after a fierce fire fight. by far my favourite game for the 360 at presant a must buy for all seroius xbox 360 fanatics =D

First of all to all the people who have not played this game...Where have you been??
This game is very shortlived but worth the cash, if you are looking for a next gen game with next gen controls and movement this is the game for you.
Once you have completed the average 5 hour game play in story mode you will have the online multiplayer to have fun on. The mulitplayer is good but personally i think that it needs an update so that you can play in partys with your friends instead of having to search for there hosted games.
Overall stunning graphics and gameplay, but is losses its final star rating by short storyline and poor online gaming

Like Public Enemy once said, "Don't believe the hype". Yes this is very good, but, it is not the worlds best game as some over excited reviewers will have you believe. I was expecting to be wowed from start to finish after listening to all the hype and, reading various magazine reviews but sadly this is not the case.
The action is very similar all the way through with you being required to shoot various "baddies" along the way. At times there are surprises, such as when you first encounter the leech things scuttling across the floor and ceiling. However, when they keep randomly appearing throughout the game it all just becomes a bit déjà vu. The first problem I found is that when you are in the middle of a fierce fire fight it is almost impossible to distinguish which is part of your team, and which are the enemy. Even so, the action has to be the strongest part of the game. The cover system is excellent and virtually anything you see can be used as cover. The fire fights are genuinely thrilling and because there is such an intuitive control system you can concentrate all your efforts on killing the "baddies" rather than trying to learn an awkward control system.
Fans of survival horror games may be slightly disappointed. The game is very linear and there is no opportunity therefore to go and explore your surroundings. Also, there are no real puzzles to solve apart from turning the odd valve on or off! Now for me this is perfect as I get annoyed with puzzles anyway as I would rather get on with the shooting.
Finally, a word on the graphics. At last there is a game for the 360 which is absolutely jaw dropping. Gotham Racing 3 was excellent but this really is what a "next generation" game should look like. The detail has to be seen to be believed. Watch someone else play and it really does look as though you are watching a big budget Hollywood movie. A particularly impressive effect is when you start to run. The camera shifts to a much lower POV and the screen shakes as you run along. It really does add to the drama in the game.
In summary if you are fan of shallow 3rd person shooters then this game is a must buy. The action is fast and frenetic and always exciting. If however you prefer games which are bit more challenging, then you may find this game is far too easy and you will grow tired of it very quickly.

the game is brillant but it has its downfalls, the CDs arnt as good as they could be, i have had 5 copies and all of them havent worked after a few days . sayin disc unreadable and its a very common error with this game!!
so be very carefull with the disc.
