- Grand Theft Auto Phwoor !!!
What can I say about this game that hasn't been said already.
Ordered on the Evening of Wednesday 23 Arrived Wednesday 30.
I had a few Problems at first Namely the game being dark and hard to see, but after a quick look at the menu I was able to adjust the contrast which improved things greatly.
Graphically this game is fantastic you see everything run someone over and you get a blood splat on the car. The people move and behave in a very realistic way, get into a fight and they will join in or call the police on there Mobiles.
Dating and taking friends out is greatly Improved no more Guessing where to take your Girlfriend she will suggest somewhere nice.
The stealing of Parked cars is now a touch harder making escapes that bit more fun, Niko has to break the window then hot wire the engine adding that little bit more realism.
Get lost easily well worry not every car comes with an easy GPS Sat Nav System giving you helpful directions to your chosen destination. A very handy Inclusion because remember real men don't ask for directions.
All in All a Top Notch game, well worth shelling out Forty Quid for I can guarantee you will not be disappointed.
Just one last thing keep away from the kids, I am seriously thinking about buying another XB0X Just to play this game (currently using the kids when they are not about).

You'll get mixed reviews of this product on here but i have a Sony Bravia 1080P TV and connected to my HDMI 360 it looks really good.
The change in gameplay is significant.
The main differences being the take cover option while shooting and the breaking into cars with eagle eyed pedestrians calling the police on their mobiles.
I own GTA 1, 2, London, 3, Vice City, San Andreas as well and have played them when they first came out so i've witnessed the evolution of the series.
To be honest a lot of Liberty City looks different to when it did in GTA 3 and i'm not talking about the much improved graphics - i'm talking about the street layouts, buildings and lighting.
It's a very good game and worth a punt.
If you're worried about a game having 4/5 stars on here then by all means wait 4-6 months and you'll probably be able to pick it up for half price (used of course).
Although i have over 2 dozen games i BOUGHT THE 360 A YEAR AGO SPECIFICALLY TO PLAY THIS GAME (all previous versions i had on pc).
I really like it and the lack of big name stars doing the voices means there was more money to spend on the graphics which are great

the game had so much hype which it didnt live up to, it gets extremely stale after a while, theres nothing to work towards like buying houses, business to make money, theres no gambling like the horses betting office, no ammu-nation, rockstar have taken out more than they have put in, it doesnt deserve IGN's rating of 10, san andreas is much better. maybe its a game thats more towards the multiplayer side of thing than actual single player gaming, bring on fable 2!

This game is excellent in so many ways and there is just so many things to do. In my eyes, the cars in this one are fantastic and despite what people are saying, the handling is actually fantastic and varies with each car.
What people dont seem to understand is that the cars work on a hierarchy (sort of) which means that if you pick a roughed up car, it wont drive as well (and the steering is a lot worse) whereas a nice car is much better to drive (great steering) just like in real life which I think is a fantastic feature. Furthermore, it makes you feel a lot happier when you end up driving a ferarri or something flashy because you can notice the difference.
I think the main problem people are having with the game is that their ''expectations were high and it didn't live up to the hype'' In my mind, this just doesnt mean anything. I think it surpassed my expectations and the game really is a lot better than San Andreas in so many ways. I reckon that the people who wrote these reviews never really got very far with the game. It was designed to start off slowly and to get a lot more fun as you progressed through the game which I think the blokes at Rockstar pulled off really well. For example, parts of the city open up as you go along and there are more things to do in other parts of the city which makes the game more fun. Also, the missions get a lot better further on in the game too. I happen to have only got about 20% through the game so far and am already starting to notice the difference.
I'd love to say more but I think its worth mentioning lastly that the Xbox live with this game is just too fun for words. I was playing free roam where you can just walk around the city doing whatever you want to BUT WITH 16 OTHER PLAYERS. This is where the game really shines. It just makes the game so much more fun and it takes away the sense of loneliness. Its the sort of thing I dream of in a game and it really does make it ridiculously fun. We went around the city trying to get as many stars as possible-great fun! If you get this game and give it some time, Im certain you wont be disappointed. Thanks for listening.
