- Mario Galaxy
This game of Mario is a brilliant version!! In my opiion I think it is better than Mario Sunshine on the GC! The game has superb graphics for a Wii game, it looks very nice and the gameplay I think is very good. The controls take a few seconds to get used too and the story line takes you a few minutes to understand whats going on, but the amount of things you can do in this game is vast! The cut scenes are brilliant, and I don't think this is a game only for children, it is a game for anyone and as I say, this is an awesome game. It is an addictive game as you won't wanna put the wiimote down. Overall, a very good game for anyone to play!

I got this game for christmas and as soon as i started playing, I was hooked! The gameplay is addictive and very entertaining. Mario fans will love this. The grapics are great and levels are fun. Highly recommened as I don't usually go for a game like this but I was impressed.

Before you ask, yes I have got Twilight Princess and in my opinion this is a better game. Gameplay is amazing as ever with Mario games, and the levels are brilliantly created. The challenges may seem easy at first, but they get harder (MUCH harder) as you progress. Challenging is the word for the ones that make you want to rip your hair out! The Wii controls are also used well and they definately add to the gameplay. The game will also keep you playing for months, especially if you are going the distance and collecting all 120 stars. The graphics look beautiful and although they are not exactly groundbreaking they are good enough, especially when you take into consideration the quality of the gameplay. Many good things to say about the game and so few bad things to say. Maybe the only thing is that the final boss is a bit underwhelming (perhaps), but that really is scraping the barrel. Other than that it is a masterpiece in gaming.

I've owned a wii since release date and up until the release of super mario galaxy i can say that 'the godfather: blackhand edition' has to have been my favourite game. But after receiving my copy of super mario galaxy i have realised that this really is the best game available for the nintendo wii. The game had a lot to live up to, being the first 'proper' mario release for the console. Super mario 64 on the nintendo 64 was an amazing game but super mario sunshine on the gamecube disappointed me... a lot.
Anyway, back on the subject of super mario galaxy. For a Nintendo wii game, the graphics are suprisingly pleasant and the music really does do credit to the game. As for the controls, well, they are easy enough to pick up and the first level or so is really just an introduction telling you the storyline and your goals and really does help you get used to the controls. You simply use the nunchuck to move around and the wiimote to aim, jump and attack, it really is that easy.
The levels themselves arent particularly challenging and even someone who has just picked up the game can make it through one without losing more than two lives. I feel that this easy going game style makes the game better as there is no frustration at not being able to complete a level. This said, some players may encounter some problems on the odd level but the game is still thoroughly enjoyable.
In terms of lifespan, the game is fairly long and even if you do collect all the powerstars, i have no doubt that many players will go back to the beggining to try it all again or just play for fun.
The game is multiplayer, however i do not find this very exciting personally and there isn't an online play mode.
Despite these minor cons, i would say anybody over the age of 7 or 8 could easily play this game and in my honest opinion this game is well worth the £35-£40 you may pay for it (though i'm sure you will find it online somewhere for less than this)
