Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - The game the Wii was made for
Super Mario Galaxy feels like the game that we have been waiting for since the consoles release. Mildly amusing mini-games and gimmicks with the remote are all we've had so far - or poor games ported to the platform. So far I've played the virtual console more than I have actual Wii games.

Until Mario Galaxy that is.

This is an extremely imaginative and hugely addictive action/puzzle game with all of the Mario charm.

The only annoying thing I found was the unskippable (as far as I can tell) cut-scenes. You can speed up dialogue by holding A but you have to watch the movies still.

I highly recommend this to any Wii owner, so long as you dont mind the Mario-ness.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Surpasses the hype
I've played every Mario around and still never been a huge fan, (Obviously they were brilliant, but I never thought they were the best thing ever like a lot of people) but this is quite simply the greatest game I've ever played. The controls are absolutley perfect, the pacing and level design mesmeric and the way the game constantly hits you with new Ideas and suprises is just brilliant.

In the other reviews people complain about the camera, that early missions are too short, the controls are a bit dodgy, and that it can get repetitive.

I really think these people either havent played the game or are playing a different one to me. The camera is perfect, its simply never in the wrong place, and if it is you can always press 'c' to centre it.

Like wise the controls are perfect. There's a great solid feeling about them, and the level of immersion is much greater than in Mario 64.

I dont know how anyone could call it repetitive. The variety of worlds, characters, special powers and gravity is astounding, and probably more so than any other game ever made. The game simply shows you new and original Ideas in every level, along with many new methods of control. In my opinion its one of the least repetitive games ever made.

The one point that makes sense is that some of the early worlds are quite short. This is actually true when you compare it to Mario 64, but Mario Galaxy in general has a lot more in common with Super Mario World and Super Mario 3 - two games that work to the same template, sucking you in by making the first few missions easy, but then cranking the difficulty up. Mario Galaxy is a much better game than Mario 64 though, there just so much more to see and do.

I just cant find a fault with this game. Its pure gameplay. You just wont play anything else until you've completed it.

The graphics are some of the best on the Wii, it'll last forever cos there are 120 stars to collect, (and another 120 after you've done that, but I wont elaborate as it will spoil it) and the difficulty curve is spot on.

One mention must go to the music, which is just superb. The retro music in the levels is fantastic, but the orchestral score when in the main hub of the game is magical and would've easily been good enough to have been in a Disney film or something like that. It really makes you fell like you are in some kind of cartoon.

At the end of the day this is pretty much as good as games have got so far, its even better than I imagined it would be and its worth buying a Wii for, of that there is no doubt.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Very good....though sometimes too easy
Mr Dis. A. Pointed, personally i don't see how the game could be described as "small". To me mario games do in some parts seem a bit easy, the boss battles etc. but then some people won't stop playing a game till it is 100% completed, for example in mario galaxy it didn't take me long to get to the final area, but i had only found half the stars by that point and i'm still looking. I'm really enjoying the game, in many ways it is a fantastic game. I like the use of the wii remote and nunchuk, and also the visuals in the game are very good. Overall a 9/10

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Best game out for the wii
This game is so much fun me and the wife both find it hard to put down enjoyable fun for all another clasic mario game

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Best Wii Game
Seriously, if you think this game is too hard or "for babies" you really need to consider the intellectual position that you may be in. All i need to tell you is that this is by far one of the best games i have ever played, if you cannot enjoy this you are simply not as fan of gaming.

A gem, if you haven't played this buy it. Now.
